Love Island US Season 5 Episode 34 starts after the dumping of Zay and Imani, Scott and Johnnie. However, the two want to act like they don’t understand the position that they are in and want to be so perplexed over a situation that’s pretty straightforward.
While having a conversation with Johnnie, Scott says that he just didn’t expect Taylor and Bergie to vote for them as the least compatible couple. To this, Johnnie says that Bergie and Taylor’s opinion definitely didn’t make her feel weird about her and Scott’s situation because it really didn’t feel like it pertained to them.
Later, Johnnie says, “I don’t really talk to Tay about my relationship with Scott, so she really doesn’t know anything about it.” Then Scott goes on to say that he was pretty confident in the fact that he and Johnnie weren’t the least compatible couple.
I need these two to get a grip on reality, OK? Scott, you literally walked in less than a week ago into a situation where a girl had three and 1/2 options. So you know how everybody else is going to perceive you. So, for y’all to be confused is confusing me.
And then the next morning, you have Johnnie talking to Taylor, who I feel like made perfect sense. Johnnie girl, I like you; I don’t know if I like you after today. Because I would rather these two just admit that they’re hurt, but don’t say that it doesn’t make sense.
Love Island US Season 5 Episode 34 Recap & Review
Then here you got Scotty, boy, now try to hold court. If you guys didn’t watch the UK, he did the same thing a few times in the UK version. He’s now trying to hold court with Bergie and Taylor, just rolling them again, wondering why they chose to pick them as the least compatible couple.
While talking to Bergie and Taylor, Scott says, “I just was very confused when you were talking; I think a few people also said that. I didn’t expect you to say me and Johnnie. Bergei, you were in on the boys’ chats, and you were aware of the fact that I’d told her before the recoupling that I wanted her to pick me.”
To this, Taylor says, “She’s been in here a little bit longer than you, and she’s had the chance to close things off with other people.” Later, Bergie says that having 4 doors open and not closing a single door until you have to just kind of gives the wrong vibe to him.
I’m really starting to understand the reasoning that Catherine had for maybe not wanting to pursue Scott all the way. She said that Scott cares too much about other people’s opinions. Yeah, coming on, the US version was not the flex that you thought it was.
I think that Scott is looking very undesirable for me this time around. Like how does it not make sense? After hearing what Bergie and Taylor had to say, Scot says, “I don’t like when people have reasons that aren’t real reasons.”
Johnnie And Scott’s Families
Next, we had a Family Meet, and we got Johnnie and Scott’s parents. For Scott, obviously, this is the second time around, so the family is kind of like, “Do you, boy.” And then Johnnie’s family had more to say about Leo.
Scott’s parents were like, “Stand up for yourself. And Just hope that you get a connection, and it would be great to work out this time.” Johnnie’s mom says that all she wants to do is just hold her and comfort her. Then Johnnie’s sister says, “Leo will never be a brother-in-law of mine, thank goodness.”
See, this is why I need the two of you to get a grip on reality. Your family couldn’t even vouch for your relationship. They had to throw digs at Leo because that’s all they could latch on to.
You all ain’t got nothing to talk about, and if there was something to talk about, it was cut out. But for us, the viewing public, we’re just like, “How did they not see that there ain’t nothing between them?”.
I really like the two of you. I like Scott in the OG Love Island, and I liked Johnnie in Casa. But since then, the stocks were just going down.
