I’ve been aware that previous seasons of Love Island, Australia have been pre-recorded. But this season, they’re really driving home the fact that it’s going to be so dramatic. OK, if the season is already wrapped and they’re saying it’s dramatic, it might be dramatic guys, and I think I’m sold.
The first episode of Love Island Season 5 Australia had a lot going on. Everything is in its era this season, I think that the producers have been on TikTok a lot this season, but it’s OK.
The typical format of Love Island is the guys come out, the girl steps forward, and the guys pick which girl they want. This time it is reversed and everybody gets to meet everybody, and then the girls are the ones presenting themselves. And then the guys step up for who they want and then the girls make the final pick.
Recap
Before diving into Love Island Australia Season 5 Episode 5, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. Going into the picks, Tia was first and everybody was a fan of her. However, she chose Trent, Savannah was next and Ollie was the only person who stepped forward for her, but she chose Zach.
Ben, Ali, and Nate stepped forward for Tyra, and she chose Ben. Kirra was next, and nobody stepped forward for her, but she chose Ollie. Last was Nakia; Zach stepped forward for her to leave Savannah. However, she chose Nate. So already we’re seeing that there’s some competition that’s going to be here. Honestly, all I’m going to say is Savannah is interesting.
The first couple to get to know each other is Ollie and Kirra. In my opinion, Kirra wasn’t feeling it. However, Ollie is her type. Regardless of whether or not Ollie is her type, she is not his. He wants a Latina, but she is not a Latina. He wants dark features but she has blonde hair and blue eyes, so it’s just not the vibe. She also is giving me a little bit of a judgmental era.
Kirra was on Married at First Sight beforehand, and I feel like that Kirra that we met is definitely the Kirra who we’re going to get on this show. Granted, Harrison deserved the smoke that she gave him.
But now I’m like, girl, you got to loosen up, you got to open yourself up. This isn’t the time to really roast people; it’s time to get to know people. But either way, Ollie is not the one to get to know, so that’s totally fine.
Tia and Trent had a conversation, and I’m not going to lie to you, it was very hard for me to follow. Even though I watch a lot of Australian television, sometimes the accent does go over my head. But they were laughing a lot, which I guess is a good sign. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 5 of Love Island Australia Season 5 will be released and what will happen in it.
