Lost In Space Season 2: Character Reveals

Lost In Space might just be one the biggest contemporary space shows there is. Season 1 of Lost In Space aired in 2018 and Season 2 is a year far away. But at the same time, it’s in works. Casting calls happened in August for the series. And the show has hired fresh faces to play more intriguing characters. The casting breakdowns that we received are certainly enthralling.

1. Ava – The first character is Ava. This female character seems like a tough one. She’s a member of the Resolute crew who is hardworking and challenging. She’s defined as, “She’s somewhere between her late 20’s and 40 years old and the supervisor of the mechanics. She’s firm, hardworking, and serious. She shuts down Don’s nonsense but respects his skill. Recurring.”

2. Commander Jiang – Again a female hired as the Captain of the Resolute, as the name suggests. She’s a stalwart at what she does and has a heart without emotions. She’s described as, “She’s the Captain of the Resolute. Even though Victor is the leader of the colony, her command of the ship and crew is quite apparent. Described as capable, stalwart, and unsentimental, no age range was given for her. She will also be a recurring character.”

Lost In Space Season 2

Besides the details mentioned above, we don’t have much knowledge of them. Since they both are members of Resolute, they could be shown in a set of flashback sequences. It’s just my guess, but it very well could happen.

The regular cast of Lost In Space that includes John, Maureen, Judy, Penny, Will, Smith, Don, and the Robot. Characters like Victor, Vijay, the Watanabes, are all expected to be back. These are the eight main cast members of Lost In Space. By the end of Season 1, cast members were drastically brought down.

The main characters are portrayed by:
Maureen played by Molly Parker
John played by Toby Stephens
Judy played by Taylor Russell
Will played by Maxwell Jenkins
Penny played by Mina Sundwall
Robot played by Brian Steele
Don played by Ignacio Serricchio, and
Smith played by Parker Posey
Angela Goddard played by Sibongile Mlambo

Besides the details mentioned earlier, the biggest cast question is – Will Robot be back?

In Season 1 finale we saw the Robot involved in a battle with another one ready to meet its end. But this wasn’t the first time it died. Audiences have seen Robot die before. So there’s no indication that Robot won’t be back, especially when Jupiter 2 has found itself as a ‘Power of Robots.’ So be ready for Robot action!
