Lorraine Kelly appeared once again on the screen as the host of a Christmas special of her iTV daytime show Lorraine. While she was the host of the special version, she also welcomed some special guests of the day to bring the festive spirit alive. The show was aired on December 25, Christmas Day. During one of its segments, Lorraine left her co-stars in a moment of laughter, which went viral.
During a segment of the show, Lorraine, in relation to the festive atmosphere, served a cocktail to her co-stars, who were Hilary Jones (editor), Mark Heyes (stylist), Ria Hebden (entertainment editor), and Ross King (LA correspondent). Lorraine had served each of her guests a ‘Twinkle, a cocktail. The formula for its making included vodka, elderflower liqueur, and champagne added to it.
‘Twinkle’ left the guest with fits of laughter.
The name of the cocktail was not the only uniqueness of the segment, but what happened later was more entertaining. Lorraine served her specially made cocktail ‘Twinkle’ to her guests, and the moment they took a sip of that festive drink, Lorraine made a comment.
Lorraine said, “So, erm. What do you think of my twinkle? which Ross’s response was more hilarious; he jokingly said, “It’s been a while since I’ve seen you twinkle or indeed tested your twinkle, but I’d like to say it looks lovely, and it tastes lovely too.” This lively sense of humor experienced between the host and the guest of the segment leads to fits of laughter for a long time.
It looks like Lorraine was not hosting the show alone, but she was accompanied by her dog, Ruby, who was sitting on her lap during the show. Ruby became part of Lawrence’s choke when she asked Ruby if she would like to have some Twinkle before opting to keep it to herself.
The ‘Twinkle’ joke was not over after Ross gave a funny response. After a moment, Lorraine took a sip of her drink and said, “That is brilliant. I’m loving it, so we’re all going to go for Twinkles.” which left the guest further in fits of laughter during the segment all day.
The Christmas Special with Lorraine.
In other segments of the Christmas special, Lorraine was also accompanied by Keisha Buchanan from The Sugarbabes and Gorka Marquez, the professional dancer who appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’ Keisha and Gorka had to prepare together for the Christmas special episode of Strictly Come Dancing.
During their interaction in the segment, they also gave bleaks of how it was to work together for the Strictly Christmas special and how they only had two days to do the rehearsals.
While spilling their moments from the Strictly Christmas special, Keisha said, “It was definitely much more difficult than I thought, but I had so much fun.” Gorka, while appreciating her, said, “She is a superstar. Came with positive energy, was willing to learn, and we had fun.”
Later, he added, “Special is about bringing joy to everyone at home. It’s bringing the magic of strictly on the most wonderful day of the year, which is Christmas. Everyone’s at home with their families and loved ones, so strictly is a part of everybody.”
During a moment of interaction that included how one likes to spend their Christmas, Keisha said she simply likes to spend her Christmas in her pajamas. Gorka said he would be spending it with his wife, Gemma Atkinson, and their two children.
He also said, “The whole morning is opening presents and playing with toys. I love the fact that we open a present, and it’s the most exciting present, but five seconds later, there is a new present that is even more exciting, especially Mia.”
Gork is the father of two children, and he was excitedly sharing the details of how his children act up on Christmas. She shared about her daughter, Mia, where he said, “She’s four; she opens presents and leaves everything around, and me behind her picks up all the wrapping paper and puts it in a bag.”
He also mentioned how excited he is to celebrate Christmas all together with his family and have the best time. He also added, “Mia is a showgirl; she loves to perform for everybody so she will be singing and dancing. I will be dancing with her, not Gemma.”
