The action series is getting to the point where there are no real competitors left for the protagonist. It would be apt to say that Lu Sheng has gotten all the low-hanging fruits he could and can move forward. Also, his recent fight with the local gang proved that he is above the troubles of others and Sceanrio like those is a walk in the park for him.
After the bandit incident, it was time for him to progress forward on the road to martial arts. When Shen arrived at the martial arts school, he had set a clear goal for himself. And with all the requirements met, he can now tackle the tower and get himself the tutelage he wants.

Logging 10,000 Years into the Future Chapter 86 will have Miao in a rude awakening as he comes across Lu Sheng. The man was daydreaming with a crowd watching him and even thought of how to approach a girl. However, the reality of the situation eluded him as nobody was there to greet him on his performance, it was Lu Sheng.
Lu Sheng gave the casual greeting that he was coming through but Miao was too much in his head to listen. This then led to him being flipped and tossed around as Lu Sheng needed space to pass through. It was more out of habit rather than intent that he tossed the fellow student aside so he could leave the place.
Whatever the truth may be, Miao looks like a grunt who won’t take it lying down and retaliate. The scene will then work as an appraisal for people to learn how Lu Sheng is revered by everyone around him. However, it will soon turn into the scene where the female lead will come in and show whom he belongs to.

Logging 10,000 Years into the Future Chapter 85 starts with Vice Principal Zhao showing up at the entrance of the tower. After him, all the other Vice principals showed up, remarking how far Lu Sheng had gotten in the tower. One of them acclaimed that if he clears the 30th floor, he will be introduced to one of the greater masters.
The remainder of the first half of the chapter then focused on pampering the MC. This is one of the most common traits in the manhua to this date, it doesn’t add much to the story but isn’t too annoying. And thus, it’s going to happen many times again in the future to show Lu Sheng in the MC.
We also get to see a scene where a possible fan club was being made for the fantasy protagonist. With one of her fans uploading all his fables online for everyone to see, and sharing it with people around. One of them exclaimed about how he had never noticed the main character up till now.
