Lizzo, amidst allegations of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile workplace environment, recently addressed the mounting criticism she’s been facing from both industry peers and online communities.
In a social media post, the renowned “Special” singer, celebrated for her empowering self-love anthems, bluntly stated, “I QUIT.”
The songstress lamented the relentless scrutiny and negativity she encounters in a lengthy Instagram post.
She highlighted the challenge of battling falsehoods for attention and enduring constant ridicule based on her appearance, as well as the unjust scrutiny of her character by those who don’t truly know her.
Last August, three former dancers of Lizzo filed a lawsuit against her, alleging instances of sexual harassment and a toxic work environment dating back to 2021. In September of the same year, another former employee filed a separate lawsuit.
Lizzo has vehemently refuted all accusations, asserting her commitment to respect and her own experiences with body shaming, stating she would never discriminate against an employee based on their weight.
Despite the controversies, Lizzo remains steadfast in her defense and determination to continue her music career, advocating for women’s respect and challenging the negative portrayal she has endured.
