Jennifer Lawrence may not have won the Golden Globe for female actor in a musical comedy, but she did not hold back and had some of the best moments in the ceremony.
We all saw the clip where she was mouthing If she did not win, she would leave, at the camera when her name was announced for the nomination.
She gained more press when she was reunited with Lenny Kravitz, her Hunger Games co-star, in the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Two of them played Cinna and Katniss in The Hunger Games movie franchise. In the movie, Cinna is Katniss’s stylist, so the two of them share a lot of scenes and spend a lot of time together.
A Surprise Reunion for the Hunger Games Fans
The reunion of Lawrence and Kravitz was the most recent present for fans of the film “Hunger Games,” who last autumn successfully made the movie prequel “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” a box office blockbuster.
In June, during the tour of No Hard Feelings, Jennifer told Variety that she is “totally” open to playing Katniss again in The Hunger Games if the proper chance presents itself. She said if Katniss can make a comeback in her life, she is 100% ready.
Nevertheless, veteran franchise producers Francis Lawrence and Nina Jacobson don’t think it will happen, since they believe Katniss’ tale is over. Only if Suzanne Collins, the author of the first “Hunger Games,” desires to revisit Katniss herself would the film crew think about getting in touch with Jennifer Lawrence again.
Jacobson talked to Yahoo Entertainment stating, Suzanne will write a book about it if she has anything to say. As much as he likes Katniss, he believes her tale is finished. Furthermore, he also thinks that Suzanne believes her tale is finished. He would be overjoyed if things were to change and Suzanne had anything to say about Katniss.
The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is set 60 years before the events of the first “Hunger Games” novel and movie, therefore Lawrence’s return was not possible. As Lucy Grey Baird, Rachel Zegler stole the show in the prequel.
The movie stars Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler and, taking place decades before the events of the first film, has just returned to theaters as part of the Hunger Games franchise.
Kravitz stated last year that he was taken aback by the series’ enduring appeal to viewers. Cinna was killed off in Catching Fire more than ten years ago, but he is still identified in public as the character.
Zegler reminisced about his first encounter with Lawrence to Kelly Clarkson during her chat show during the day. Zegler said, a few weeks ago, they were in Paris for the Dior show during fashion week, she didn’t want to act strange and was simply getting ready to speak with her. She was just very generous.
The Funny Clip
Clarkson cut to footage of Zegler and Lawrence sharing an embrace as they posed for pictures. Zegler was giggling.
Zegler said, in that video, Jennifer is saying to take another picture where she is choking and her saying that she will never get that part. Attending the 2024 Golden Globes, Lawrence was nominated for “No Hard Feelings,” but Emma Stone prevailed.
Kravitz’s song from the Netflix series “Rustin” received a nomination for best original song, but Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie” took home the prize.
Jennifer Lawrence got a nomination
The 33-year-old actress is vying for best performance by an actress in a motion picture musical or comedy for her raucous portrayal in No Hard Feelings. During the Sunday night award event, Lawrence turned to face the camera, squinting her eyes and threatening to leave if she didn’t win.
Emma Stone won the trophy for her performance in Poor Things, therefore Lawrence ultimately lost her category. Despite her warnings, Lawrence was ecstatic for Stone, as she jumped up and cheered her victory loudly.
Jennifer was nominated alongside Alma Pöysti for Fallen Leaves, Fantasia Barrino for The Colour Purple, Margot Robbie for Barbie, and Natalie Portman for May-December.
Lawrence has attended the Golden Globes regularly. She has had six nominations and three wins, including for Joy, American Hustle, and Silver Linings Playbook.
