Lee Naeun is set to take on a role in an upcoming drama. On February 22, industry insiders revealed that Lee Naeun will be part of the cast for the new ENA drama “Crash,” scheduled for a May premiere. ENA responded to the reports, confirming, “It is true that Lee Naeun will be starring in ‘Crash.'”
Lee Naeun’s agency, Namoo Actors, also provided details, stating, “Lee Naeun is scheduled to play an active role as the main character of an episode in ‘Crash.'” She will reportedly portray a victim who plays a central role in one of the sub-plots of the drama.
“Crash” is a comedy crime investigation drama that follows the story of rational individualist Cha Yeon Ho (Lee Min Ki) and Min So Hee (Kwak Sun Young), an ace in a traffic investigation sector known for her sharp judgment and warm heart. Together, they investigate crimes that take place on the road.
The drama’s cast lineup was officially announced on February 8 through a Lunar New Year’s greetings video featuring Lee Min Ki, Kwak Sun Young, Heo Sung Tae, Lee Ho Chul, and Moon Hee. Directed by Park Jun Woo, who led Season 1 of the SBS drama “Taxi Driver,” “Crash” is expected to bring a unique blend of comedy and crime investigation to the audience.
Notably, Lee Naeun was initially slated to appear in Season 1 of “Taxi Driver” in 2021, but she withdrew from the show amid controversy. Subsequently, in 2022, she signed an exclusive contract with Namoo Actors, marking a new chapter in her acting career.
Following her current role in the ongoing drama “Flex x Cop,” Lee Naeun is also confirmed for the upcoming drama “i Shopping” (literal title), which features a star-studded cast including Yum Jung Ah, Won Jin Ah, Dex, and Ahn Ji Ho.
