On March 6, MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958” released a new teaser featuring Lee Je Hoon. “Chief Detective 1958” serves as a prequel to the classic Korean series “Chief Inspector,” set in the 1970s and 1980s.
Lee Je Hoon takes on the role of legendary Chief Park Young Han in his youth, portraying the character with a unique style compared to Choi Bool Am’s past portrayal.
The teaser opens with Detective Park Young Han expressing intense rage, saying, “I want to catch them so badly, but I can’t.” Alongside Kim Sang Soon, Jo Kyung Hwan, and Seo Ho Jung, Park Young Han forms a strong team determined to take down the bad guys, fueling anticipation for the passionate detectives’ teamwork.
Park Young Han, who moved from Hwangcheon to Seoul to pursue his dreams, is renowned for his relentless action against crime. He has held the title of “Top Arrest Rate for Cow Theft in Gyeonggi Province” for three consecutive years.
The handsome detective with a strong punch and great personality draws special attention, providing viewers with thrilling actions fueled with passion and determination.
The drama is directed by Kim Sung Hoon, known for “Confidential Assignment” and “Rampant,” with a collaboration between rookie writer Kim Young Shin and seasoned writer Park Jae Bum, responsible for “Good Manager,” “The Fiery Priest,” and “Vincenzo.”
