In order to be clear, Lance Bass is not Taylor Swift. The former *NSYNC star experienced an intriguing event while visiting the Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers game at SoFi Stadium in California. Bass was unable to let the moment pass without speaking up when his band’s song, “Bye Bye Bye,” was played on the stadium’s jumbotron during the game.
While seated in the stands, the 44-year-old Lance Bass amusingly held up a handwritten sign that said, “NOT TAYLOR SWIFT,” and he waved to the enthusiastic crowd. This playful reference by Bass followed Taylor Swift’s recent presence at Kansas City Chiefs games as she showed support for her rumored partner, Travis Kelce.
Additionally, the two were seen holding hands for a second time after dining at the Waverly Inn restaurant in New York City on Sunday evening.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift both made surprise visits on Saturday Night Live’s season 49 premiere after their stadium date. The 34-year-old Kelce made an appearance at the end of a Saturday Night Live sketch that mockingly captured the talk about his and Swift’s romance. Swift, 33, came on stage to present Ice Spice, the musical guest for the evening.
Lance Bass teases Swift at the MTV VMAs
When his trio reunited on stage at the 2023 MTV VMAs to present Taylor Swift with the Best Music Video award, Lance Bass made light of the ecstatic reception to the reunion and gave her credit for it last month. “I’m not doing well pivoting from this to this,” Swift joked on stage, trying to keep her attention on the prize and avoid becoming too sidetracked by *NSYNC.
“It is beautiful, you know?” Bass said to Entertainment Tonight following the VMAs. It’s a dream come true to be this old and yet have this much excitement from the fans. I didn’t realize the fandom would become that obsessed.” He said, laughing, “It’s Taylor Swift’s fault. I believe that she turned the Swifties against us and that this tsunami was essentially caused by the Swifties and the *NSYNCers.”
