Kylie Jenner is speaking out against critics who have commented on her recent shift towards a more conservative appearance.
In an interview, the 26-year-old founder of Kylie Cosmetics was questioned about her response to those who suggest that her updated style is a result of her relationship with her current boyfriend, 28-year-old actor Timothée Chalamet. The pair have been romantically linked since 2023.
“I don’t know how I feel about that,” Jenner said. “I just don’t want to talk about personal things.”
She stated that she wasn’t aware of the theory, emphasizing her focus on social media comments related to her businesses and products, rather than her appearance or personal life. A source cited a “puff-sleeve ‘cottagecore’ maxidress” worn by Jenner last summer.
The Kardashian star attributed her new style to the birth of her two-year-old son, Aire Webster.
“It takes me a while after I have a baby to feel like myself again,” she said. “Then you get your body back, and you’re like, ‘Wait, the trends have changed.'”
During the interview, Jenner discussed the emotional toll of constant criticism of her physical appearance.
The newspaper highlighted instances where harsh lighting in a single photo could lead to speculation by plastic surgeons about potential additional cosmetic procedures.
“It’s just years and years of not feeling like my face or looks are accepted,” she said. “There’s nothing anyone could ever say now that would hurt me.”
In late February, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum donned a black tube top paired with cut-out straps and cut-out foldover pants from the fourth drop of her clothing collection Khy at an event commemorating its launch. The ensemble continued Jenner’s trend towards a more conservative style.
