The Chapter opens up with Maomao returning to the banquet after successfully catching the perpetrator who shot Jinshi. Even though Mamomao and Jinshi required Basen and Rihaku’s help in catching the shooter, it’s still a win nonetheless.

Maomao tries to correlate Gao Shun’s story about the two female twins with the Two Envoys that arrived from the west, as just like those two twins, these two envoys may also be carrying a plan of their own. The fact that a Fiefa model of unknown origins was also confiscated from the perpetrator gives rise to some more possibilities.

Maomao thinks that deals regarding such advanced weaponry can’t be made without going through the imperial court, which means that the opponent they are faced with is far more dangerous than they thought.

She wonders if they will be able to get information from the officer they caught earlier because only then will she be able to finally get some peace. Maomao decided to go to sleep when suddenly someone knocked on her door.

Maomao peeks through the door and finds Jinshi standing outside. She feels repulsed as Jinshi is the last person she would want to meet after what happened earlier. Jinshi realizes his mistakes, and so he tells Maomao that he’s fine even if she keeps the door closed.

Jinshi then apologizes to Maomao for what he did earlier, and then they both go silent for a bit, as this is a pretty weird situation. Maomao breaks the silence by saying that Jinshi doesn’t need to apologize because she also said some rude things to him.

Maomao wonders how Jinshi reacted to her words because he’s behind the door. She remembers how she is very dense when it comes to affection and malice because of how she was treated during her childhood.

Maomao then tells Jinshi that he will always stay the same for her no matter what, as it doesn’t matter to her if he’s an Eunuch or not. Jinshi gets shocked for a bit, and then he opens the door to give something to Maomao.

Maomao steps back, but Jinshi reassures her that she can take it. He explains that he promised himself a while ago to reveal everything to Maomao when he gave her this thing. Maomao opened the packet given by Jinshi, and she was amazed by the thing inside it. It’s Oxe Bezoars, a pricy cow gallstone and a secret medicine that Maomao always dreamed of having.

Jinshi gets annoyed because Maomao completely ignores his words. Maomao suddenly comes out of her room to thank him, and she then closes the door to go to sleep. Jinshi knocks on the door for some time as he still has things to say, but Maomao doesn’t pay attention to him as she wants no. Interruption in her precious moment with the Ox Bezoars.

Jinshi returns to his room after getting ignored for so long. Meanwhile, Maomao sleeps on her bed with the Ox Bezoars by her side, and she thinks that it doesn’t matter to her if Jinshi is a eunuch or not, but if his secret ever got leaked, then she would help him become a real eunuch.
