“Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi” made a comeback with the release of chapter 59, along with the news that the manga will finally be coming to an end with 61 chapters in May. The news has left fans quite devastated since they were expecting to get more of Tsubaki coming to terms with her innate feelings and desires.
The series combines action, adventure, and romance, with a focus on contradicting feelings of love and defying the age-old system put in place. The manga is known for its detailed artwork and engaging characters and has been praised for its portrayal of strong, independent women.
“Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi” is a manga series written and illustrated by Yamamoto Suichirou. The plot of the manga follows a kunoichi, a female ninja called Tsubaki. Tsubaki is a member of a kunoichi group known as the Akane Class.
The Akane Class lives deep in the mountain in the middle of nowhere, cut off from the rest of the world. These kunoichi practice together and work hard to improve their combat skills and ninja techniques. There is only one rule – contact with any men is strictly forbidden.
The kunoichi considers men as a threat and has a rule against interacting with any of them. But things begin to get complicated when Tsubaki, the leader of one of the kunoichi groups, starts being fascinated by men. Tsubaki starts experiencing strange feelings every time the subject of men comes up. Will Tsubaki suppress her feelings or face the repercussions of breaking this ironclad rule?
Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi: Chapter 59 Recap
The previous chapter was filled with confrontation and facing the harsh reality. Benizumomo asks Sazanka to give her a hand in uncovering the mystery behind team leader Tsubaki’s change in demeanor lately. Sazanka reluctantly joins hands with Benizumomo as her curiosity gets the best of her.
Tsubaki writes a reply to her pen pal’s suggestion of finally meeting each other. Tsubaki is nervous about the whole deal, but she agrees to it, feeling jittery and excited. She asks Rindou for support and finally pens down her reply. The next day, Tsubaki takes a detour and hides her letter in the usual place for her lover to find. She regroups with Rindou and Asagao as they collect fruits together.
Tsubaki notices Sazanka’s absence and part ways with the other girls to find her. Tsubaki is walking in the forest, daydreaming about her meeting with the man, when she sees Benizumomo. Tsubaki asks her if she’s seen Sazanka, but instead of replying, Benizumomo pulls out the letter Tsubaki had written for her pen pal regarding the meeting.
Tsubaki rushes behind Benizumomo to take her letter back, but her efforts are in vain. Sazanka manages to capture Tsubaki, and both Sazanka and Benizumomo confront Tsubaki about the letter.
Sazanka runs away in despair when she realizes Tsubaki is really meeting a man. As Benizumomo prods Tsubaki more, Sensei appears and reveals that she is aware of Tsubaki exchanging letters with a man.
Hana sensei tells Tsubaki that she is free to do whatever she wants, but if anyone comes near the Onesen during the next new moon, Hana sensei vows to defeat them as the village chief. Benizumomo asks Tsubaki what she will do now as Tsubaki walks away defeated. Tsubaki tells her that she will not do anything since she is done thinking about men.
