The story revolves around a young Chinese-American Woman, Nicky Shen, who drops out of college and goes to an isolated monastery in China which is the turning point in her life. When she returns to her home town “San Francisco” after training in a Shaolin monastery and finds that it is overrun with crime and corruption. With the help of her family and friends, she sets out to take down the triad that is terrorizing her community.
But it’s not going to be easy, as the ruthless assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor is now targeting her. Nicky must use all of her martial arts skills and training to protect herself and those she loves.

The Cast of Kung Fu:
Olivia Liang as Nicky Shen: She is the main lead. Nicky leaves her tour group in China and then drops out of school to train there at a monastery.
Eddie Liu as Henry Yan: He is a martial arts instructor who has a passion for Chinese art history. He is the one who feels an immediate attraction for Nicky.
Tzi Ma as Jin Shen: Nicky’s father is Jin. He and his wife, Rosalie, run Harmony Dumplings, a small Chinatown restaurant.
Yvonne Chapman as Zhilan Zhang: Zhilan is the murderer of Pei-Ling, Nicky’s mentor.
Shannon Dang as Althea Shen: Althea is the sister of Nicky, who is beautiful with brains. She is married to Dennis, who was a nerdy math-lete in high school.
Tony Chung as Dennis Soong: Dennis is married to Althea and comes from a wealthy family.
