Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible Episode 5 opens with Shirahishi’s monologue of how he likes Lunch Break because of his invisibility and can have his own adventure on where to eat his lunch. He ends up going outside to eat and soon Kubo finds him. She asks him to eat lunch with her and seats down next to him with her bento.
Kubo asks Shiraishi about his bento and offers to trade some food with him in exchange for hers. She tries to feed the latter with her hands but Shiraishi just takes the food off her hand. Whereas, when he tries to give her food she eats it off of his hand. Kubo also asks Shirashi about his favorite food and even promises to cook his favorite food next time.
In the second part, Kubo’s friend teases her about her liking someone and are surprised to hear that she thinks about Shiraishi whenever she thinks about having a crush on someone. In another narrative, Shiraishi wakes up early and decides to go to school and get their first but is surprised to find Kuno already waiting for her.
