On Saturday, Chan Sung Jung, known by his ring name, The Korean Zoombie, announced his retirement from MMA Fighting at 36 after he lost a match against Max Holloway at UFC Fight Night in Singapore. Jung lost the match against Holloway in the third-round knock-out.
Jung made his retirement official through his Instagram page, where in a post, he stated that he was going to put a stop to his fighting as he always aimed to be a champion. He further stated he wasn’t there to be ranked third, fourth, or fifth.
He ended the note by stating he thought he would have easily beat Max, but he wouldn’t have the opportunity anymore.
