Plot
KonoSuba follows the story of high schooler Kazuma Satou, who took a five hours trip to get his hands on the first limited edition game.
He was returning home to play his game when he accidentally ended up saving a high school girl when she was about to get hit by a truck.
Kazuma was not sure why he chose to save another person’s life while putting his own in danger. Kazuma did not realize it then, but while saving the girl’s life, he ended up getting killed on the spot.
Kazuma later found himself in front of the afterlife goddess Aqua. She welcomed Kazuma to the afterlife and informed him that he had passed away in the human world.
Kazuma found out that the girl he pushed away had fortunately survived. He was relieved that his death was not in vain, but Aqua burst his bubble.
By informing him that the girl would have survived without his help because the tractor was going to stop before it could hit her.
Kazuma was disheartened after learning that. However, he later found out that his cause of death was a shock. Aqua informed him that he passed away after having a heart attack because he misinterpreted the tractor as having run over him.
He was so scared that he ended up wetting his pants. When he was transferred to a hospital, he passed away after having a heart attack there.
Aqua introduced herself as a goddess who was in charge of guiding humans from Japan who died at a young age to the afterlife.
She proposed to him two choices, Kazuma could either start his new life from the beginning inside a fantasy game, or he could go to heaven and carry on his life as an old man.
Kazuma decides to reincarnate as a fantasy game character, but he also drags Aqua with her to his new life. Kazuma and Aqua had to fight demons to bring peace into their world and save the people from the demon assault.
