Kiss of Life, which is also abbreviated as KIOF, is a newly debuted K-pop girl group that is taking the world by surprise with their unique concepts and styles while debuting in their self-titled extended play, which was released on July 5, 2023, in the Korean language. With six songs under their belt, this four-member K-pop girl group Kiss of Life is bringing life to the K-pop industry.
Four out of the six songs in their EP show the vocals of each individual, as they all have one solo each. Kiss of Life is managed by S2 Entertainment, and they are just getting started to set the stage on fire with members: Julie, Natty, Belle, and Haneul. All of the girls in this group are adults at the time of debut.
The meaning behind their group name ‘Kiss of Life’ is beautifully explained by Julie, who is also the leader of the group. She explains that the mouth-to-mouth transfer of breath for breathing purposes, the act of giving life, is what their group portrays. They want to bring back life rather than breathe into life with their music and unique qualities in the K-pop industry.

Their debut MV of Shhh clearly showcases the vocal range of all the girls. The song has some surprising and refreshing elements which bring a new sound to the K-pop world, along with bass drops like no other. The song is layered with vocal harmonies making it sound more fuller and more complex.
Natty’s solo ‘Sugarcoat’ starts with some banger high notes. Her beautiful, clear voice cuts through and gives a strong RnB vibe. Belle’s solo ‘Countdown’ starts with the guitar plucking and her crisp vocals that makes it sounds like a sad song.
The song is about getting up again. Julie’s solo ‘Kitty Cat’ starts with her raspy vocals that will take one by surprise, and the bass adds to the volume of the song. The swag cuts through to the listener with a boss lady vibe. Haneul’s solo ‘Play Love Games’ is a bright song that starts the same way as described with the exciting vocals of the Maknae.
