Kingdom Chapter 767 could be described as going back to the place where it all began. Jouto was once a place where Shin was a slave, but he had a friend by his side to shoulder that life.
That all changed when the influence of war reached the place, and Shin’s predictable yet peaceful life came to an end.
Watching Shin go back to the village with the comrades he had made along the way was a little touching. Even if it had been very long since he came back, the feeling of his homecoming was palpable. There is something to be said about the author’s wit in enticing emotion in the reader even at this stage.
Were it not for the author’s craft, the story wouldn’t have had as much of an emotional impact, but that wasn’t the case. And we got a great journey that is reaching its end and will never continue after. Now, this series comes under the Seinen demographic; if only the story about a certain Samurai turned peaceful would also reach its conclusion one day.

Kingdom Chapter 768 will focus on other characters and how they will go on to live their lives. There was a little joke about two characters whispering that they were supposed to be the main characters of that chapter.
Whether or not the manga remains to be seen, they have been vital in the story in one way or another. So seeing them have their moment will be nice.
Now, one of the biggest questions is how this story will wrap things up. The historical moment has come to pass, and technically their moments don’t matter.
