Kindergarten Wars takes place in a government issue Kindergarten and Day Care Center called the Black Kindergarten. This place is famous among the rich and the powerful as the safest place on the planet for their little ones. From the outside, the facility looks similar to any other facility. The real asset of the facility is its staff. All of them are former criminals who have signed a contract.
Serve at the Kindergarten for a year and protect the kids. After their time is up, the sentences would be neglected, and they can regain their freedom. This is an extremely demanding career. Since they are kids of some of the most powerful men in the country, they are always being targeted by some group or the other. There occurs an assassination or kidnapping attempt every so often.
The Protagonist of the Manga is Ms. Rita. She is a former assassin who was known as the Witch. An assassin that had anyone quaking in their boots after hearing her name. But now she works at the Black Kindergarten in the Dandelion Class. Along with her, there is Doug, who is a conman, and Hana Bradley, another assassin that belongs to the infamous Bradley family of Assassins.
Rita is an avid believer in Horoscope and Love at First Sight. Soo much that it often interferes with her work. Whenever she sees a handsome man, she falls head over heels for them. She asks them questions like their favorite color or food, and if she is not satisfied with the answer, she will kill them on the spot without a moment’s delay, only to regret it afterward. This quirk of hers makes for several comedic situations to unfold.
Kindergarten Wars Recap – What To Know Before Reading Chapter 14?
Rita and Doug decided to forgive Hana since her betrayal was justified. The trio head back while Hana’s Brother turned himself in. He plans to meet Hana once he pays for his crimes. Back at the Kindergarten Chief greets then reprimands them for getting injured. She takes on their duties for the day and orders them to go to the infirmary. At the infirmary, we meet two new characters.
The First one is Gordon Z Sky. He is the Vice-Chief and the Health Teacher at Black Kindergarten. His appearance scared Rita, Hana, and Doug, and they tried to run away but were caught. Gordon turns out to be a gentle giant who bandages up their wounds. He even offered them candy. It was then that Luke Smith walked into the infirmary, guns blazing.
Smith is a Former Police Officer who was imprisoned for killing his boss. He tends to the Chrysanthemum Class, which is the middle class. He is a handsome gentleman, so Rita falls in love. They fight each other, trying to gauge each other’s abilities, and surprisingly they seem evenly matched. Rita must have been holding back due to her feelings towards him.
It’s been a couple of days since the incident, and all three of them have recovered nicely. Doug particularly had a tough time since he had to work while injured. Smith comes to the Dandelion Class, much to Doug’s annoyance. Smith tells them that he was appointed to oversee them. He scolds them for their obvious lack of teamwork. Doug counters claiming they do not need teamwork.
Almost right on schedule, someone launches an attack on the classroom. Hana, Smith, and Doug stay back, protecting the kids, while Rita heads out alone. Smith tries to follow but is stooped by Doug, saying it won’t be necessary. According to her horoscope, she is supposed to have a happy day and possibly meet several special someones.
To her surprise, it was a group of Ninjas, and every last one of them was extremely attractive. She starts asking them random questions and killing anyone who does not give her a suitable answer. In the end, there was no one left. Then we see someone being chased by an assassin. After killing her target, she is given the Black Kindergarten assignment. She recognizes Rita from the photograph. She refers to her as “My Toy.” It’s someone from Rita’s Past.
