On April 19th, tvN treated fans to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at “Queen of Tears” with a new content video on their channel, “tvN Drama.”
In the video, actor Kwak Dong-yeon admires the detailed set design of Baek Hyun-woo’s house in Yongdu-ri, marvelling at its realistic appearance during filming. The scene turns humorous when Jeon Bae-soo points out a family photo on the wall, featuring Baek Hyun-woo’s family posing in front of a Seoul National University sculpture. He jokes, “The background was edited,” eliciting laughter from the crew.
A highlight of the video is when Kwak Dong-yeon asks Kim Soo-hyun about a childhood photo displayed as a prop. Kim Soo-hyun explains, “I think they edited by adding my face into it.
The picture has the vibe of my face but it’s not 100% real,” shedding light on the production’s attention to detail and creative use of props.
Kim Soo-Hyun also shares insights into the filming process, revealing that wedding photos with co-star Kim Ji-won were captured early on when they were still getting to know each other, adding a touch of nostalgia to their on-screen romance.
Netizens reacted warmly to the behind-the-scenes revelations, praising the set’s authenticity and Kim Soo-hyun’s charming presence.
“Queen of Tears” continues to amaze audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances by Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Ji-won. The drama airs every weekend at 9:20 p.m. on tvN, showcasing a heartfelt love story amidst challenging circumstances.
