The upcoming drama “The Tyrant” offers a glimpse into the characters played by Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, Kim Kang Woo, and Jo Yoon Soo! “The Tyrant” is a chase action drama set in motion after the final sample from the “Tyrant Program” disappears due to a delivery mishap. This triggers a series of pursuits involving individuals with diverse motives, each vying to secure the elusive sample.
Directed by Park Hoon Jung, known for acclaimed works such as “New World” and “The Witch” movie series, “The Tyrant” initially began filming with the intent of being a movie.
However, as production progressed, the decision was made to adapt it into a four-part series format to fully encompass the gripping narrative, multifaceted characters, and progressive storytelling.
Cha Seung Won takes on the role of Im Sang, a former agent tasked with eliminating the forces connected to the Tyrant Program. Kim Seon Ho brings forth his mysterious charm as Director Choi, a figure associated with a government agency but operating unofficially as the mastermind behind the Tyrant Program.
Kim Kang Woo injects suspense into the narrative as Paul, a member of an overseas intelligence agency determined to eliminate the last remaining sample of the Tyrant Program. Rounding off the ensemble is rookie actress Jo Yoon Soo, portraying the skilled engineer Ja Kyung, assigned with stealing the final sample from the Tyrant Program.
Disney+’s original series “The Tyrant” is slated for release in the second half of 2024, promising viewers an enthralling experience with its intense chase action and a cast portraying characters with conflicting agendas.
