One of Food Network’s most exciting shows, Kids Baking Championship, will be returning with an all-new season filled with new twists, challenges, and creative young chefs from various backgrounds.
What they all share is the dream of winning this demanding yet fun challenge series, where they’ll be rewarded with $25,000 if they manage to cook up the most unexpected and tasty dishes the judges have ever tasted.
Each episode of the Kids Baking Championship will consist of a specific challenge, such as making a single flavor of cake, decorating cupcakes creatively, and many other similar tasks.
With Duff being a familiar face on each of Kids Baking’s seasons, the judge will likely show up once again for season 12, this time with new challenges and games for all of the talented young chefs.
Recap
Season 11 of Kids Baking started with a Trick or Eat challenge where four chefs had to make a spooky Halloween meal with Duff Goldman and Maneet Chauhan as the judges—from exciting holiday meals to celebrating different festivals, this season had tons of fun food challenges for the kids.
To be grateful for old friendships, the kids of season 11 had a unique task where Judge Duff, along with Valerie Bertinelli, revealed that the contestants had to make turkey cakes. Since this was a Thanksgiving special, the kids could take home about $10,000 of cash if they managed to impress the judges.
Another episode had the kids combining two sweet treats, such as mixing up Cheesecakes with candies, donuts & pies, and other delightful combinations. Although most of the chefs were truly skilled for their age, one contestant was eliminated from Kids Baking each week.
For the “Make It Work challenge,” the kids made a delicious dessert with strange combinations that somehow went well with each other. Crazy combos like strawberries & vinegar and grapefruits & bananas were seen in the episode.
Valerie and Duff had yet another cookie challenge for the kids, which involved making a tasty, loaded cookie with huge fillings and frostings. This was the semi-final for Kids Baking, so the chefs had to make sure that they weren’t leaving for home this time.
By episode 13, which was the much-awaited finale, the remaining kids had to make stunning birthday cakes with a personal touch, and the winner of this challenge could take home the much-desired $25,000 prize.
The special episode before Kids Baking Championship season 12 had a few of the fan-favorite young chefs turning up for a new challenge at the set. This time, these young teens and kids had to make Halloween-inspired cakes with a tasty filling and spooky decorations.
Jason gets a caramel-flavoured cake, while others get flavors like marshmallows and cookies. All of the cakes had a special scary decoration, but in the end, the winner of this Halloween special was selected to be Genevieve. The most-desired prize of a full baking kitchen set was now Genevieve’s.
