Following the unexpected departure of Taemin and Onew from SM Entertainment, fans are now eager to know the fate of SHINee’s Key and Minho. Recent reports suggest that Key and Minho have opted to extend their journey with SM Entertainment.
As per an exclusive report by News1 on March 5, Key and Minho are said to have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment. If these reports hold, this would mark their fourth contract renewal with the company.
Earlier, News1 had exclusively reported Taemin’s decision to part ways with SM after a 16-year association. In contrast, Key and Minho, whose contracts were also set to expire, have chosen to continue their collaboration with SM.
Both Key and Minho are actively involved in individual pursuits. Key is making regular appearances on variety shows like “Amazing Saturday” and “Crime Scene,” while Minho has been engaged in acting, with his latest interaction with audiences through the movie “New Normal” last year.
Since their debut in 2008 with “Replay,” SHINee has maintained popularity with chart-toppers such as “Love Like Oxygen,” “Juliette,” “Ring Ding Dong,” “Everybody,” “Sherlock,” and “Dream Girl.”
Meanwhile, there are indications that Onew, the eldest member of SHINee, is heading towards free agency after the conclusion of his contract with SM.
Regardless of the diverse paths chosen for their solo careers, it is confirmed that Onew, Minho, Key, and Taemin will persist with their group activities under SM in the upcoming future.
