On December 28, 2024, Kerstin Lindquist tearfully said goodbye to Saturday Morning Q, marking the end of her nearly 11-year journey with the beloved show. “It’s all been so so good,” Lindquist shared emotionally, alongside her co-host Alberti Popaj. She fondly recalled some of the show’s funniest moments, including times when they couldn’t stop laughing and had to leave the set. Lindquist also expressed her love for the Halloween episodes, which were always a highlight.
Reflecting on her time with the show, Lindquist mentioned how memorable the early pandemic days in 2020 were. Despite the challenges of filming during COVID-19, she said, “Some of my favorite memories were during the pandemic when there was nobody here.” With minimal crew, the team worked hard to stay on the air and connect with their viewers, proving how important the show’s mission was to her and her colleagues.
On December 21, Lindquist announced that she would be leaving QVC after 13 years to focus on her family and further her work in faith and wellness. While she still has six more shifts in January 2025, the final Saturday Morning Q show held special significance to her. She expressed how much the show, its crew, and the viewers meant to her, describing the program as a talk show where she could truly connect with the audience every Saturday.
Lindquist’s departure was marked by touching messages from fellow QVC hosts Jennifer Coffey and Rachel Boesing. Popaj also shared an emotional tribute, praising Lindquist’s immense heart, her dedication to family, and her inspiring faith. “You have the biggest heart of any person that I’ve ever met,” Popaj said, noting that Lindquist’s energy and ability to take care of others were unmatched. This heartfelt message moved Lindquist to tears.
As the show drew to a close, Lindquist wiped away her tears, hugged Popaj, and introduced the final product of the day. “Thank you guys so much for being with me for 11 years on this show,” she said with gratitude. She looked ahead, encouraging viewers to embrace the future with excitement for the new host taking over. “Next week, you get a fantastic new host and I can’t wait to see you all grow,” she added, expressing optimism for the future of Saturday Morning Q in 2025.
As she transitions into this new phase of her life, Lindquist shared her plans in a blog post. She will be focusing on her “StRest” podcast, health coaching, and an upcoming book, which will include a devotional set for release in 2025. In her post, Lindquist emphasized that while leaving wasn’t easy, she felt certain that it was the right time to use her talents to serve women in a more meaningful way, specifically in faith and wellness.
