Micah Williams, better known by the name Katt Williams, is an eccentric but hilarious comedian who has made people laugh since the 90s. Willaims is best known for his work in Wild ‘n Out, My Wife and Kids, and Atlanta: Alligator Man, for which he even received a Primetime Emmy.
There have been countless times Williams became viral for making explosive remarks or comments. On Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Williams talked about things like comedy, other comedians, and the shady entertainment industry, and this seems to have sparked conversations on all social media.
Katt also accused Steve Harvey and other comedians of stealing his jokes, and this has brought up a whole list of times comedians were caught reusing another lesser-known comedian’s jokes. The podcast with Katt ended up getting almost 20 million views in less than two days, bringing Katt back to public attention once again.
Net Worth
Many sources would say Katt Williams has a net worth of $2 Million, but when asked if he has a net worth close to the said amount, Katt revealed that he was earning far more than that and all of it was way lower than his real net worth. Katt went on to say that there were times he turned out 50-million-dollar projects, and he was probably one of the richest men on earth.
While his claims are yet to be confirmed, Katt Willaim’s net worth could likely be around $5 Million, considering the number of successful shows and films he has been a a part of up until now. Willaims also said that he earns almost $100,000 for every show he does around America, putting his net worth much higher than just a few million.
Most of Katt’s earnings would come from his early stand-up comedian shows and appearances in films like Lonely Street, Scary Movie 5, Father Figures, and many others. All of his projects have been well received so far, so it’s no surprise that Willaims would have a net worth in the millions.
Williams has also been a part of popular television shows like Black-ish, Atlanta, The Last O.G., and even the reality series, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
About The Comedian
Born and raised in Ohio, Katt Williams claims he was a prodigy ever since he was a child and knew how to speak French and Creole when he was just 3. After reaching 13, Williams couldn’t stand being around his parents and decided to emancipate himself and move to a whole other state.
Once in Florida, Katt started working as a street vendor to support himself and tried to stay alive by doing local work. In an interview, Katt says that he had to live in a trailer to afford a dental surgery that he was desperately in need of. Katt was able to completely turn his life around with his humor and clever jokes.
Williams first started performing in the Avondale neighborhood of Cincinnati as a stand-up comedian and soon got the chance to travel around and perform at local bars and clubs. By the 2000s, Williams became a popular figure and started appearing in comedy clubs like The Improv, The Ice House, and Comic View.
While the first two were able to get him enough experience performing in front of a large audience, it was BET’s Comic View that remained his first notable appearance on a popular platform. This was around the same time he joined NYPD Blue and Wild ‘n Out.
Katt Williams was also chosen to be the voice behind Slickback from The Boondocks and had a videogame character in Grand Theft Auto IV that was based on him. He may have played supporting roles in First Sunday and Norbit, but his role of Money Mike in Friday After Next is what most people recognize him for.
Although his career as a comedian has been nothing less than successful, Katt always finds himself in the headlines for making unwanted comments about various entertainment industries. Other than his usual blunt and outrageous views on things, Katt continues to be one of the best comedians the industry has had in a while.
