We are brought into a chaotic system of family politics and arranged marriage, with the two protagonists Baran and Dilan originally born as enemies of each other. But as they were forced into tying the knot as a plot to connect the two families, Baran and Dilan have to digest each other’s presence and learn to at least feel a bit of emotional attachment.
In particular, Baran is driven by an unquenchable thirst for revenge after losing his mother. He is focused on the goal of hunting down who ended his mother’s life.
This is where the enemies-turned-lovers story arc start. Apparently, Baran suspects Dilan’s family to be the one responsible for his mother’s demise. Spoiler alert! The actual killer was his own uncle, and this was revealed by the latter episodes of season 1.
So, what happened when this saddening truth was revealed? As the two lead characters felt trapped in each other’s hatred and confusion, romance and compassion suddenly seep into their hearts. The two eventually found themselves developing romantic feelings, enjoying each other’s company.
