The politics around the enchanted swords continue as Kamunabi turn their ugly heads towards Chihiro in Kagurabachi Chapter 49. The last few chapters had been pretty rough for Chihiro but he embraces all of them with all of his might and skill. And thanks to that, he made some new allies and people who would support his quest to collect the enchanted blades.
Chihiro and Hakuri were on their way to the tower with Yoji after the light of recent events. Yoji seemed like an odd character but he is responsible for dumping us with new info for the upcoming chapters. We also got to learn a lot more about the lore of the world, and the factions involved around the enchanted blade.
Yoji was shocked by the sight of Chihiro and called him the spitting image of his father, later adding honorifics to his name. Chihiro didn’t mind as he was more focused on the task that needed to be done. Hakuri was the quietest in this part of the story, as he didn’t have much value to add to their discussion.
As the three were discussing matters on the train, we were shown the events that were transpiring alongside their journey. They had been hit hard with what happened but none of them had lost their spirit in the aftermath. However, that too was a way to foreshadow what was to come for them at the hands of the enemy leader.
