Justin Timberlake, aged 43, debuted new merchandise for his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in a recent Instagram video. This follows his first social media post since his recent DWI charge in Sag Harbor, New York earlier this month.
“Had to do it @nyknicks,” Timberlake captioned the clip of himself showing off the new royal blue-and-orange T-shirt at Madison Square Garden, where the New York Knicks play their home games. “This is so important right now.”
“Got y’all’s Knicks’ colors. We had to do it,” Timberlake sings to the camera.
Travis Kelce, a friend and self-proclaimed “huge fan” of Timberlake’s, commented on the post, writing, “NEEED THAT ONE!!”
Travis Kelce made headlines earlier this year after seeing Justin Timberlake perform in Los Angeles in March.
Kelce joked with reporters, saying Timberlake was the “most famous” person in his phone besides his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
However, Kelce quipped that there was “not a chance” Timberlake would pick up if he called.
Justin Timberlake recently performed his first concert at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, with plans for another show there on Wednesday before heading to Boston, Massachusetts.
His wife, Jessica Biel, attended Tuesday’s show with one of their sons and was seen enjoying his performance of “Suit & Tie.”
Director Martin Scorsese was also present and received a special acknowledgment from Timberlake during the event.
“It’s a special night in the greatest city in the world,” Timberlake said, per an eyewitness. “So many family and friends here… and the GOAT, Martin Scorsese.”
It has indeed been a challenging period for Justin Timberlake. He was arrested on June 18 in Long Island, New York, for driving while intoxicated.
According to a spokesperson from the Sag Harbor Police Department, Timberlake was observed driving a 2025 gray BMW southbound on Madison Street around 12:37 a.m. He reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and maintain his lane, leading to the charges.
“A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition,” police stated.
“Upon contact with [Timberlake] it was ascertained that [he] was operating said vehicle in intoxicated conditions, in that his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
Justin Timberlake informed the police that he had consumed “one martini” before driving, a statement that was later confirmed by the bartender who served him.
“Justin is feeling remorseful, ashamed, and humiliated, but also accountable,” a source told following Timberlake’s arrest.
According to the source, Justin Timberlake does not believe he requires help with alcohol but sees the incident as a significant lapse in judgement.
