It’s another action-packed day at the Turners’ doomed household. Dorothy has decided to invite a few mothers and children to spend some time bonding with Jericho. When Leanne learns about the gathering, she is terrified because some of the strangers could be members of the cult. Sean prepares some fiery Caribbean cuisine and enlists Leanne’s help. Mr. Smiley, the in-house entertainer, and coordinator show up with his ukulele and meditation bowl.

Toddlers Noah, Matthew, April, Ella, and their moms are among the guests. Leanne questions Sean about Dorothy’s inability to be content with her family while Mr. Smiley sings a lively song for the little peeps. Julian and his new girlfriend Veera arrive, and they make their way upstairs to the bedroom to keep a close eye on the security camera feed. Dorothy insists on joining the party when Leanne serves the main course. Meanwhile, a nosy visitor makes Dorothy uneasy, interrogating her about Julian’s addiction and the ambulance that pulled up in front of the Turner home this summer (possibly to take Jericho away).

Dorothy

Dorothy disregards the claim, while Leanne returns to Sean to inform him about the cult members’ peculiarities. They would not eat delicious food, would dress in the manner in which they believe ordinary people dress and would have scars on their backs. Leanne goes to serve round after round of delectable food while keeping an eye out for blemishes on the mothers’ backs in the middle of a yoga session. A mother’s back is scarred, confirming Leanne’s suspicions.

When Leanne rushes to the kitchen, she comes face to face with Sean. He spills chardonnay on her dress by accident, which could be a sign of things to come. She hurriedly washes her cloth and rushes to her room, only to discover Nora’s mother searching beneath her bed for something.

Leanne

Leanne claims she is looking for Nora’s pacifier when she accuses the mother of being a cult member. Nora’s mother reaches into her pocket and tries to hide grabbing it from beneath the bed with some deception. Julian asks Leanne to keep things in check. When the party abruptly ends, Leanne loses her cool and throws a knife at Mr. Smiley.

When Leanne is unable to locate anybody in the house, she fears the worst: a large-scale kidnapping by cult members. Mr. Smiley starts asking Leanne to stay calm after she threatens him with a kitchen shard. He assures Leanne that he will not harm her, but she does not appear to be convinced. In the meantime, Dorothy and other mothers arrive at the house to find Leanne unconscious. They were, in fact, on their way to get ice cream for their kids. Mr. Smiley must, however, bare his back and show the “scars,” as Leanne demands.
