Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in its very final phase with the Shinjuku Showdown arc raging on as Yuji battles Sukuna. Despite the intensity of the arc, author Gege Akutami hasn’t shied away from reintroducing old characters such as Miguel and Larue.
These characters, along with the new cursed techniques introduced, have made the Shinjuku Showdown Arc phenomenal.
There are many other characters in Jujutsu Kaisen that fans are hoping to see return. With the story nearing its end, now would be the perfect time for them to reappear and make an impact before the final curtain drops.
7. Shoko Ieri
Shoko Ieri is another popular female character who hasn’t been included in the story much. Shoko simply plays the role of a healer in Jujutsu Kaisen.
If she were replaced by a hospital, the plot would remain unchanged, which highlights how poorly her character has been handled. With JJK nearing its end, fans hope the author will give Shoko some shine and make her character stand on her own.
6. Noritoshi Kamo
Noritoshi Kamo hasn’t played a significant role in Jujutsu Kaisen up until this point. Despite his tremendous potential, the author has underutilized him, as well as many other characters in the story.
Kamo could potentially play a major role in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, but he has not yet been given the opportunity. Fans hope this can change. His incredible control over blood manipulation would certainly be helpful, and his compelling backstory needs further development.
5. Aoi Todo
Aoi Todo is one of the fan-favorite characters who had been completely cut from the story until now. He was relevant up until the Shibuya incident, but he disappeared afterward.
Todo didn’t appear in the Culling Game or much of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. Fans hope he will make one last appearance before the series wraps up. Todo’s fiery will, witty fighting style, and comedic nature make him a beloved character.
4. Utahime
Utahime is another character that was sidelined by the author quite early in the series. Other than amplifying Gojo’s abilities before the Shinjuku Showdown began, she has not played much of a role.
Though not the strongest, the author needs to find clever ways to incorporate weaker characters into the story compellingly. There is a big fanbase that wants to see Utahime become important and play a massive role. For now, she hasn’t done anything significant, but fans hope that will change in the final phase of the story.
3. Gojo Satoru
Gojo Satoru, the strongest modern sorcerer, is arguably the most popular character in JJK. He was sidelined for most of Shibuya, and in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, he lost his life. However, the door is open for Gojo’s return, and he may come back later in the story. Fans love Gojo, and as the face of JJK, he needs to make a comeback.
2. Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro is a character that needs a lot of attention. While he has played a significant role in JJK, he has been sidelined since Sukuna took over his body during the Culling Game arc.
Megumi has tremendous potential that needs to be fulfilled before the series ends. Currently, he is merely a tool for Sukuna to reach full power. Fans hope to see him become his own character and reach the next level as a sorcerer before JJK ends.
1. Nobara Kugisaki
Nobara Kugisaki, a part of Yuji’s team under Gojo, has massive potential to fulfill. Like many other characters, she met her end in Shibuya, shocking fans. Her death was left ambiguous by the author on purpose, and fans have been waiting for her return. Hopefully, Nobara can make a comeback before JJK finally wraps up.
