So, what is Jujutsu Kaisen all about? Where are we in the story so far? And most importantly, when are we getting Jujutsu Kaisen episode 25? Let’s talk about it.
Jujutsu KaisenThe story of Jujutsu Kaisen revolves around a world where sorcerers, or shamans, and curses or evil spirits co-exist. Shamans are powerful wielders of magic who have the power to do away with curses. Curses are manifestations of evil feelings or doings like greed, hate, and so on. The protagonist of the show is Yuji Itadori. Yuji is unnaturally fit for someone his age and experience. He can easily win at track races and wouldn’t even need to try to come first. However, Yuji has no interest in such backbreaking activities. His grandfather passes away right before his eyes and directs him to always help people and die surrounded by people. Yuji gains an interest in the Occult Research Club and joins it just for the kicks of it.
Things go wrong when the Occult Research Lab actually gets its hands on a cursed object. A finger of the most powerful Curse in the history of Curses. Yuji comes across shaman Megumi, who tries to ward off other Curses from consuming the finger to gain power. However, it becomes a tight battle where anyone in the whole school could die. Seeing no other choice, Yuji himself consumes the finger and hence becomes possessed by the Curse Ryomen Sukuna. Sukuna’s power helps him save Megumi and the others for the time being.
But things don’t end there. Sukuna was a very powerful Curse in his prime and it is said that all the golden age shamans had to come together to defeat Sukuna and even then, he still survives in fragments. It would be a grave danger to allow him to exist. Hence the shamans decide that Yuji has to be exorcised and in the process, killed to get everyone rid of Sukuna. This is where Gojo Satoru, Megumi’s teacher proposes that Yuji be taught to control Sukuna instead of him being killed. Will he ever fully be able to control the Curse? You’ll have to watch to find out.
Story so far
The final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 showed us the epic showdown between Yuji and Nobara who went up against Kechizu and Eso. The fight was certainly intense with a lot of moments where any of our important characters could have died barring Yuji who has the powers of Sukuna and has is less vulnerable than Nobara. However, this does not mean that his life wasn’t in danger itself. The fight ends with Nobara having killed Kechizu with her technique and Yuji blowing a hole clean through Eso’s chest. We later see Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji being contacted by Gojo. He has a secret mission for the three. But what is the mission going to be? We will likely find out in the later installments of the series.
