With the end of Sukuna, and Megumi being freed, the trio is back together for their last mission in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 269. It was a grueling fight to be sure, but Megumi is finally free now and Nobura is alive after all this time. But, they now have to save another key character in the series, Ookatsu, who might have been possessed by Rika.
The last chapter starts with Sukuna telling Megumi that he has failed and should give up completely. Megumi’s sister died by his hand, albeit under the control of Sukuna, and there was nothing he could do to protect her. He had resigned himself to that fate but Yuji made sure to knock him out of the curse.
We are brought to the present where Yuji’s dismantling separates Sukuna and Megumi, after the breaking of Yuji’s domain expansion. Yuuji reiterated his words to Sukuna about living inside him till he dies and leaving what little he will have to live. Sukuna cursed saying that he would take up the farce to the bitter end, and let himself fade away.
Later we see Megumi waking up to find Yuuji and Nobura in his room with Nobura coming out of a box. Megumi was puzzled by what they were doing and Yuuji reminded him of the skit he had done with Gojo back then. The ten shadows nonchalantly accepted and the three later talked about what the future holds for them.
