This upcoming week is gonna be Jujutsu Kaisen‘s week, as for its fifth year anniversary, the series is getting a front cover on Weekly Shonen Jump, a lead color page, and an amazing chapter dropping in general since these Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 215 spoilers and raw scans are crazy good.
So chapter 215 starts off with a double spread coloring page, as a huge fish curse is seen flying over the city, just as Yuuji told Sukuna to chew up some of his misery, at the same time however Kenjaku brings a ride to Uraume, as them to be in a hurry.
Okay so this is really interesting and likely correlates to why the merger has started yet but we are gonna talk more about this in the later of the article.
The next page continues from where the last chapter ended, where Yuuji successfully landed a blow on Sukuna’s face, and Sukuna realizes that his Cursed Energy Output has dropped because… yes, you guessed it because Megumi was fighting back from inside as well. What is so surprising here is that Sukuna says he hopes its overall attack potency doesn’t fall below 10 percent, that low estimate is enough to give the idea that Sukuna is heavily being nerfed by Megumi.
Unless he is seeing that it is 10 percent less of his overall power, and yes, that wouldn’t be as bad, but from the way the leaf’s wording it, it seems like it is just near 10 percent in general given his low estimate. Now I know, a lot of people might use this to say that oh, this is why Yuuji was able to tank Sukuna’s attack and go one on one with 15-finger Sukuna, which yeah that’s partially true, but that shouldn’t neglect the entire fact Yuuji has also gotten much stronger.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 215 Spoilers and Raw Scans
The fact that Sukuna says himself that Yuuji is gotten a sudden increase in strength and Sukuna’s decreased output, shouldn’t hide Yuuji’s obvious power.
On the next page, Sukuna says that everything needs a finishing touch, but at the same time, he fails to sense Maki’s presence and realizes that Neu hasn’t done any damage to her. So here we go guys, Maki has joined the battlefield. I always thought that Nue’s lighting was canceled by Angel’s presence but I guess not, because you know, she hadn’t used her curst technique upon her.
So anyway, Maki avoiding the lighting bolts and sneaking up on Sukuna here without notice is very high, I presume it is because she has no curse energy obviously, but Maki and Yuuji begin to simultaneously attack Sukuna. He counters by trying to punch her but Maki blocks, she fiercely pulls him towards her and punches on Sukuna’s face.
Then Maki gives a powerful punch, which throws Sukuna into the air. So Okay, wow! this is something that I always wanted to see, after fighting Naoya, and the mental power boost she got, I have always wanted to see how this newly awakened Maki would fight from now on. Yes, I know, I know, Sukuna’s overall condition is being weakened by Megumi, but still just seeing her in general, fighting with much confidence, her faith to go close-quarter combat with Sukuna, that is in itself exciting.
As Sukuna gets thrown off into the railing, Yuuji directly attacks Sukuna with it as a combo, but this time Sukuna is unimpressed and comments that Yuuji is truly bored, however, Maki kicks off Sukuna right after, and decides to sustain Sukuna for now, and asks Yuuji if he can move faster.
If I am interpreting the leaks right, Maki really said, technically, “Hey Yuuji, is it okay if I move faster from now on”, almost like indirectly saying try to keep up from here or something. Obviously, we don’t have the English translation, but I am assuming Yuuji is like bidding here and saying, ” Yeah! of course I can keep up”.
After that, we get a beautiful, clean, satisfying double spread of Maki and Sukuna rushing toward each other, but as she turns over, she catches Yuuji’s leg in mid-air and throws it toward Sukuna, thus Yuuji managed to land a powerful kick on him. Gege knows how to draw 2V1 fights, his 2V1 choreography is genuinely so satisfying to see and read. Obviously, these are the leaked panels, so the quality might now look the best, once the chapter officially comes out, you are going to see this beauty in clearer form.
The 2V1 battle continues as Sukuna realizes that Megumi’s body will reject him, and reduces the output when he tries to harm Megumi’s comrades, and this is where Sukuna decides to turn into Spiderman, yeah!! we have a new spell “Spider’s Thread” which destroys Yuuji and Maki’s landing, and then he lunges toward Maki’s face.
Spider’s thread is an ability that we have never seen Sukuna use before, So this is completely new, and I think it is still an aspect of his main curse technique, probably another variation to his cleave and dismantle. The visual appearance of the threads seems to destroy the surface, obviously messing up Yuuki and Maki’s landing, however, his punch doesn’t affect Maki at all, she simply spits out some blood and he goes on to exchange some more blood.
Though just as Maki and Yuuji step back from Sukuna, they notice a person at some distance, activating a curse technique, that person is none other than Uraume, who on the first page of the chapter, was riding inside that huge fish curse.
She activates a Frost Calm, shown in another double spread by Gege, man he is doing a lot of that lately, and it appears to completely freeze Yuuji and Maki, rightfully, I mean we did see this technique at the end of Shibuya Arc, as it was especially effective against like a group of people, instantly freezing an entire squad of sorcerers in place.
No doubt, the technique could mobilize the two fighters here, but Uraume apologizes to Sukuna if they have overstepped and says that she has weakened the Frost on Yuuji, just in case, but Sukuna says that he doesn’t care about Yuuji anymore, and doesn’t matter if he dies, and also says to Uraume that he did a good job by being biased against Maki.
I am not gonna lie, underestimation of Yuuji in this chapter is well it bites back later because Sukuna summons Nue again and orders Uraume to prepare the body, to complete the bath after that Uraume responds that the preparation has already been done.
Just as Sukuna and Uraume were about to leave, Yuuji does break out of the ice and shouts towards Sukuna, but they just depart commenting that Yuuji is looking pathetic right now, Ahh!! that hurts, but man what a fantastic chapter, Gege has cooked in.
Sukuna said “Prepare the bath to complete the body”, that is gotta mean he is gonna transform into his own original body, right? the four arms, and the half-sectored face, this either means that he is going to use that Ten Shadows Technique in the conjunction with the bath to resurrect his old body or once he undergoes the bathing ritual, he doesn’t actually separate him from Megumi’s body.
What I think and actually hope is that the bath washes away Megumi’s resistance which yes that sounds terrible because I like Megumi, but I think he will resurrect his old body but at the same time, it is morphed within Megumi, so he will still be in Megumi’s body and still keep the Ten Shadow Technique because I am sure the anticipated between Gojo vs Sukuna happens, it is going to act as the recreation of Zenin user, fighting the Gojo user, back in the Edo Period.
Dramatically, it would make sense, since Gojo sort of failed in his promise to make sure that Megumi doesn’t stray away to be a bad person like his father, and obviously, now, he will have to face that consequence once he fights Sukuna.
