Alright! So we got the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 spoilers, and if you thought the previous chapter was wild, this chapter is even wilder than that, believe it or not!! but before we get into it, let me just quickly go over what happened in the previous chapter because we saw that Megumi’s sister Tumiki, turned out to actually be a vessel for this thousand year sorcerer Yorozu.
Once they revealed themselves, they use Megumi’s 100 points to make a rule, that allowed travel between colonies, and then they blew away. After this happened, Sukuna chanted “enchain” and used the Binding Vow, to take over Yuuji, and then he immediately knocked out Angel, and then transferred himself to like his pinky finger, ripped it off, and then force-fed it to Megumi, and then like possessed him, and now we can say that Megumi is now Sukuna.
The chapter concludes with a heart-stopping cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering about Megumi’s fate. Will he succumb to his injuries or will Sukuna possess him, as he did with Yuuji? The possibilities are endless, but we’ll have to wait for the Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 spoilers to uncover the truth.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213 Spoilers
The chapter opens up with Sukuna who realized how powerful and potential Megumi’s curse technique is but at the same time finds out resistant towards him. He believes that Megumi is not a vessel, but a sort of cage, like Yuuji’s case, and this was the reason why Sukuna waited for the right moment to possess him. This was also the moment where Megumi’s soul breaks.
In the first place, there also was an option for Sukuna, to feed his cursed finger to Megumi, but still for the hijacker (Sukuna in this case) in order to take full control of the host or vessel, waited until the moment when our guy, Megumi’s soul snapped, this was way different then Yuuji fighting with Sukuna to take back the control.
This is like partly the reveal of Sukuna’s plan, at least for Megumi, I mean this isn’t the full extent of it, but this is a lot of it, and we speculated about this for a while, like Sukuna being interested in Megumi for the Ten Shadows, like that kind of had to be it, right? I mean, I am sure there is more to it, but it was mostly for the Ten Shadows, and we thought that, Oh is he gonna use this to like materialize himself or something, and that might happen, and I mean he doesn’t do that in this chapter, but what does do with Ten Shadows is pretty incredible, we will get into it.
The whole thing about him, waiting for Megumi’s Soul Snap, I wonder if Sukuna knew ahead of time, like did he know that all of this was going to play out the way that it did and that this would break Megumi’s soul, that’s would use this as the opportunity to take him over or was he just simply waiting for the moment for Megumi’s sort of break.
He didn’t know, it was going to be this, but turned out to be that, I really hope we get a reveal of how much Sukuna told everyone in advance, or at least he and our people. Sukuna then starts punching Yuuji along the way to multiple buildings, and this was first realized by Takaba and Maki.
This is devastating Sukuna is a Dragon Ball Z level launching Yuuji here, this is easily the most significant strike he is ever taken, and it looks like he is done, I don’t think Yuuji is going to be active for the next couple of chapters. He is gonna need some plot intervention here, to come back from this at least from the look of it here, he is devastated by this.
Later in the chapter, we see, Sukuna again repeating his words from the first time he materialized, He says that “No matter which Era it is, insects will always push forth.” Then Sukuna summons Nue, who we find out that is as big as a full-sized building.
Yeah, you read that right!! Sukuna uses the Ten Shadows to summon the Nue, but it is not the Neu, that Megumi summons, Nue that we the audience are familiar with; the Neu that Sukuna summons is so freaking Mothra, and that is not an “exaggeration”, it is pretty much like the Mothra. It’s so big that it’s able to perch on top of a building, this is unbelievable.
This is just new, don’t forget there are nine other things that he can summon, and I won’t go too much into that now.
Then we see that Sukuna uses Neu’s ability and sends huge lighting throughout the battlefield, but in the meantime, we see that Hana has finally arrived at the place. We see that Hana shouts at Angel in order to activate the Purification Light, and says that he is Megumi but we later find out that there is nothing it can do, because believe it or not, Megumi right now, right into the moment is “The Fallen Angel”. It requests Hana to peel off Sukuna and erase him, with the use of the Curse Technique, and then she starts the chant.
So, yeah, this is a pretty wild sequence, Neu makes it rain lighting down on the city, and it’s about to come down on Maki and Takaba, until suddenly… Angel shows up and she uses Purification Light, which I guess is her curse technique, nullifying her ability possibly.
I guess it’s stopping to lighting but also Hana says don’t use it because it is Megumi because if you do remove somebody’s curse technique, they could potentially die, but Hana says to use the curse technique to peel off Sukuna and erase him because we also found out that Angel’s technique could be used in this way, but when Angel’s curse technique activates, it’s insane… It takes up the entire sky.
After she activates it, Sukuna starts to get peeled off as Hana starts to chant with the help of the trumpet. She loudly says the only person that Megumi belongs to is none other than her, and after that moment, everyone hears a voice saying “I remembered” and we see that the Sukuna markings have started disappearing from Megumi’s body.
Megumi, who is still partly Sukuna in some ways, says, “Thank you, it is all good now” to of course Hana. Although Angel warns her not to, neglecting her warning, Hana approached Megumi and hugs him. The moment she hugs Megumi, Sukuna’s mouth widens and swallows Angel.
That is where the chapter ends, and the editor’s comment is “Never Forget the True Nature of the Curse”.
So Angel’s curse technique did not successfully strip Sukuna from Megumi; Sukuna is still here and his head becomes gigantic and his mouth opens up as it says here, and he is going to eat Angel like his head is gonna look like Curse now.
This means he is a cursed spirit, or he is something like Tengen!! We still don’t know, and this isn’t giving us any more answers to that, but this might be Sukuna’s Curse Technique which is wild because we were also speculating about this for a while too, Sukuna might have the cursed technique where eats people and gains their curse techniques because he has like two of them at least or maybe three, with the fire, cleave, and dismantle.
We also thought that he maybe had like a mouth on his stomach or something, it was hard to make out, but I don’t know, it also kind of lined up with the mythology of the original Sukuna or something. I never really did my due diligence on that but I think this might be it like Sukuna has to eat you or something in order to get your curse technique.
