WWE is getting up for an incredible spectacle at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as WrestleMania 40 approaches. Fans can’t wait to see the spectacle on April 6 and 7; excitement is building.
While all of this has been going on, rumors have been flying that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and legendary wrestler John Cena are involved. Their involvement at WrestleMania 40 is clarified by recent events.
Fans of Monday Night RAW were ecstatic to see Cena and Austin’s faces on a production truck during a recent episode. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, issued a warning about taking this too seriously and said it might not have anything to do with the major events.
Meltzer reports that there are rumors of a mystery position at WrestleMania 40, but it’s unclear if Cena or someone else would occupy it. The forthcoming event will now be more intriguing as a result of this disclosure.
A top member of the WWE Creative staff explained in response to Meltzer’s story that their lineup sheet makes no mention of a mystery position. It was also reported that John Cena and Steve Austin will not be competing at WrestleMania 40.
Even though Cena and Austin won’t be competing, WrestleMania 40 weekend will still include a ton of legendary figures. The roles that Cena and The Texas Rattlesnake will play during the celebrations are highly anticipated by fans.
