Fans vividly recall the frightening moment when Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke in February last year, exacerbated by a sudden paralysis. However, the wrestling icon has since made a remarkable recovery and recently provided an update on his health following double knee replacement surgery.
Lawler underwent multiple surgeries post-stroke, and while he has made significant strides in his recovery, some effects linger. Throughout his journey, the wrestling community rallied around him, offering support and well wishes.
Recovery and Road to Wellness
During a virtual signing for East Coast Autograph Auctions, Lawler shared his current health status, affirming that he is in good shape despite minor challenges stemming from the stroke.
“My health is great. I just (went) over to the doctors to get back on the road from my knee replacement and then of course, still some minor difficulties from the stroke. But all of that stuff is coming around fast.”
Despite his health setbacks, Lawler remains active in the wrestling world, notably with an incident where AEW stars “stole” his lifetime achievement award. However, his future on WWE television remains uncertain, leaving fans curious about what lies ahead for the wrestling legend.
