While discussing potential musicians for the wedding, Lopez suggested Bruno Mars, only to be stunned by the price. Blum, who had recently worked with Mars, informed Lopez that his fee was $5 million. Lopez responded, “Don’t be ridiculous!” but Blum confirmed that the price included a 45-minute performance and an additional rider.
Although Blum didn’t confirm whether Lopez accepted the cost, the wedding plans were ultimately canceled after the couple’s split in April 2021. This revealed the challenges of securing top-tier talent for high-profile events.
Blum further explained that celebrity performers like Mars often come with hefty demands. To manage these artists, Blum and her team make sure to handle their needs efficiently. She emphasized that they don’t tolerate any unreasonable behavior by anticipating their requirements and ensuring smooth interactions.
It is not typical for an event to feature a celebrity like Mars as the main entertainment, Blum said. Most couples prefer a more traditional setup, like a band and a DJ, with the possibility of a 45-minute performance from an artist like Chris Martin or Elton John. This arrangement keeps the focus on the event rather than the performer.
Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019 after dating for two years. Their relationship ended in March 2021, though it was officially confirmed in April 2021. Despite the breakup, sources say Lopez has moved on and has no lingering thoughts about her former fiancé.
