Denver Nuggets’ star player, Nikola Jokic, is proving himself as a top contender for the NBA KIA MVP award. Throughout this season, Jokic has impressed fans, players, and analysts with exceptional performances.
In a recent interview with Hoopshype, Jamar Murray, the point guard for the Denver Nuggets, praised the duo of himself and Jokic. Murray believes they outshine other star pairs in the league, such as Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Confident in his team’s abilities, Murray expressed his belief that the Denver Nuggets have what it takes to win the championship and rise as the best team in the league.
Murray stated during the interview, “I think we’re the best duo. If we’re talking about the best duos in getting the job done and how they play for each other and with each other, I think me and Jokic are undoubtedly number one.”
Jokic was essential to Denver’s winning record in the Western Conference this season
Jokic’s impressive stats speak volumes: 35.9% shooting from three, 58.3% from the field, 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His versatility allows him to score, run the offense, find cutters, extend his range, and handle the ball with ease.
With a potential third MVP award, Jokic could join an exclusive club of NBA legends, including Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Moses Malone.
Despite Murray’s injuries limiting his playtime to 59 games, Jokic’s stellar performances have been crucial in securing Denver’s top Western Conference record this season. The Nuggets are eyeing not just victories but NBA dominance, with Jokic leading the charge.
