It Takes Two is reportedly being prepared for a Nintendo Switch 2 launch, bringing Hazelight Studios’ acclaimed cooperative platform adventure to Nintendo’s latest console. According to information shared by Chinese game distributor Prowell Asia Holdings, the Switch 2 version is expected to release on October 15, 2026.
The details come from a distributor document that lists a new Switch 2 edition of the EA-published title. The listing reportedly mentions support for multiple languages, a physical release through a game-key card format, and an estimated download size of around 12.1GB.
Originally released on Nintendo Switch in 2022, It Takes Two became known for its creative gameplay mechanics that require two players to cooperate through constantly changing challenges. The potential Switch 2 version could offer improvements such as higher resolution and better performance compared to the original Switch release.

Developed by Hazelight Studios, It Takes Two follows a couple named Cody and May as they navigate a magical world after being transformed into tiny dolls. The game combines platforming, puzzles, and unique cooperative abilities across different levels.
The title also features Friend’s Pass, allowing players to invite another person to join the adventure without requiring a second copy of the game. While EA and Hazelight have not officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version yet, the distributor listing has sparked expectations for a new release.
