The latest show, Deal or No Deal, began airing on ITV. The last time it was aired was in 2016, and it took the slot occupied by Tipping Point, the popular game show hosted by Ben Shepherd. Deal or No Deal was released on ITV1 and ITVX. Stephen Mulhern is set to make his hosting debut, taking over Noel Edmonds.
Fans are excited about the revival of the new show Deal or No Deal but are also disappointed by the schedule mix-up.
One spectator on Twitter said he would miss the hashtag. Others agreed and added he is looking forward to the new show tonight. Another comment on how he is going to fill the 4 pm-5 pm void and urged Ben to give the audience a grand finale.
Another question that was on everyone’s minds was about Tipping Point. The viewers asked if the Tipping Point is getting replaced or canceled by Deal or No Deal or if the show is getting another time slot.
When will Tipping Point return?
The show Deal or No Deal is set to have twenty episodes in the current season. But good news for the fans of Tipping Point: it is set to return this year around Christmas as a Christmas special.
There is no official date for the release of the show. Ben will be the host of the celebrity Tipping Point. Lucky will also be seen for the festive episode. We will also see Stephanie Beecham, Jamie Laing, and Julian Clary attempting to win £20000. All the winnings will be donated to charity.
Last year, the Christmas special show was released on 17 December. The episodes featured Josie Gibson, Mr. Motivator, and Len Goodman.
What is known about the reboot of Deal or No Deal?
Earlier in 2023, it was revealed that Deal or No Deal will return to our TV screens. It aired for more than seven years before the ending in 2016. The show made its debut in 2005.
Noel Edmonds was the first host of the original show. It showed participants choosing either to make a deal with the Banker or risk everything for the unknown amount inside the other box.
Moreover, the format is going to stay the same, and the reboot will approach a new studio, Dock 10 in Salford, and Stephen Mulhern will be the new host of the show. Ahead of the show, Stephen said that he always watched this show and praised Noel for his hosting skills.
He did three thousand episodes, and if it goes the same way, he will also do three thousand episodes, but he doesn’t want to jinx the vibe.
Ben’s February announcement
In February, the anchor of Good Morning Britain revealed that a new show is on its way. In a video, he told his followers.
He brought up Ed, a member of the production team of the show, and said that he was very excited that a new season of Tipping Point is planned, and they just need new participants. He knows that the audience is always very excited about the new series, and he is also aware that people want to know how they can participate in the new show.
He said that there’s a link on this video that can be used to apply to become a contestant of Tipping Point. He also revealed that the filming of the new series will begin in Spring.
Change of schedule
Fans of the show tuned in at 4 pm every day to see the latest players try their luck at the famous machine. But on 2 June, the fans who opened their TVs for the show were utterly disappointed as there was no airing of the show.
Instead of Tipping Point, Racing Live from The Oaks, hosted by Francesca Cumank and Ed Chamberlin, was shown. Later, it was revealed that The Chase and Tipping Point were transferred at the start of the week.
