Just when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier, Raglan James (RJ) reappears with his usual flamboyant style. While enjoying some fancy Japanese food, RJ delivers some blunt advice to Daniel: The talamasca isn’t good at keeping people alive. He also warns Daniel to fear someone else besides Armand.
Meanwhile, Louis and Armand are locked in a tense standoff at their apartment, the tension thick after last week’s revelations. Daniel, now aware of Armand’s violent tendencies, is terrified for his safety. Adding to his anxiety, the Talamasca throws a massive list of interview questions his way, further fueling his fear.
The interview sessions themselves seem like a bizarre meeting. Louis and Armand bicker about ancient vampire politics, while Daniel feels like he’s trapped in a psychological thriller. Louis even advised Armand to appease the coven leader with flattery, completely oblivious to Daniel’s precarious situation.
