Nick Aldis has been creating waves with his distinct roster management style ever since he returned to WWE. The continuous rivalry between Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar is one of the blue brand’s most interesting plots.
Escobar’s attack on his hero, Rey Mysterio, set off the battle and led to the creation of the Legado Del Fantasma, a new faction.
This recently formed group has shown to be a very strong challenge for LWO. But when Rey Mysterio made his eagerly awaited return to Smackdown, things went completely the other way around.
Both rivals faced off on last week’s show when Mysterio and Escobar’s singles bout was formally announced for the upcoming Smackdown episode on March 22. Although WrestleMania was expected by fans, WWE chose to showcase this match on Smackdown instead.
Nick Aldis just revealed an intriguing plot point for the fight. Aldis, the general manager of Smackdown, made the announcement that Legado Del Fantasma and LWO would not be allowed to interfere with the event, highlighting the importance of a fair one-on-one match.
The WWE may put an end to the intense rivalry between Mysterio and Escobar with this clause in place. The rivalry may, however, be extended for a few more weeks as WrestleMania approaches, which would heighten the excitement for the upcoming match.
