Thor is loved immensely, and so is Thor: Love and Thunder. However, here we’ll see some interesting facts about Thor: Love and Thunder. With consistent programs streaming on Disney+ and a steady stream of theatre releases, the MCU environment is constantly changing. It can be challenging to remember where characters are and what their current circumstances are, and the multiverse’s inclusion just makes matters more difficult.
Thor has seen some of the most thrilling successes and the most catastrophic defeats in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As a result, his personality has undergone significant internal and external transformations that have shaped who he is. So, now let’s check out some fun and interesting facts about Thor: Love and Thunder.
The Mjolnir is held by Jane Foster
Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, plays the female Thor in the latest movie and is one of the loved characters of the film. If you’re wondering how it played out in the comics, it was after Thor concluded that gods were not deserving of worship on account of Gorr, the God Butcher playing mental games with him. He is unable to lift his powerful hammer as a result. When cancer-stricken Jane Foster realized she was deserving, she transformed into the goddess Thor to replace the at-the-time helpless Odinson. This is incredible indeed!

Mighty Goats of Thor
Thor is given a pair of goats that scream obnoxiously at the start of the movie. Those who read comic books or are familiar with Norse mythology are likely to be familiar with these goats since they are the ones who draw Thor’s chariot. Despite their annoying cries, they are a humorous aspect of the film. Though officially the goats from Thor: Love and Thunder were developed by Marvel’s Steve Englehart and John Buscema for Thor Annual #5 in 1976, these young people actually have their origins in Norse mythology.
They were modeled after Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, the battle goats in mythology who dragged Thor’s chariot, by Englehart and Buscema. They performed a very terrible function for the Thunder God in legend. Thor could prepare and eat them after killing them, and the next day they would magically come back to life. Wohooo!!!
Who Destroyed Mjolnir?
Mjolnir had been dueling with Stormbreaker, an enchanted ax made in Nidavellir until Thor: Love and Thunder, when Hela, Thor’s sister, shattered Mjolnir. Thor makes it plain in Love and Thunder that Mjolnir is his preferred weapon, despite the fact that Stormbreaker is a great one. Loki’s empathic description of her ability to break the hammer “like a piece of glass” revealed her true might.
Regarding Mjolnir, it’s noteworthy to point out that Jane Foster may be seen using the legendary weapon in the Love and Thunder trailer. The second significance is that not many individuals have been worthy of holding it because it was broken, as previously mentioned. In actuality, aside from Thor himself, only Vision and Captain America have been observed to be capable of handling it.
Tristan & India
Tristan and India Hemsworth, children of Chris Hemsworth, have minor roles in Thor: Love and Thunder. Chris Hemsworth claimed that two of his kids, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and the children of filmmaker Taika Waititi all appear in the movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” with him. One of Hemsworth’s twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, age 8, share the part of young Thor, while his 10-year-old daughter, India, plays the role of Love. Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, has a son who briefly makes an appearance in the film. In a scene where the hero is a young child, we can see him sprinting.
Hemsworth chuckles as he explains that it took his daughter some time to adjust to all of Bale’s prosthetics and the detailed antagonist makeup. Not only Hemsworth but other actors also accompanied their children to the shoot. Natalie Portman’s children, Bale’s children, and one of Waititi’s daughters are all present in the movie, as per Marvel. This is just so wow, isn’t it?
Chris Hemsworth’s Wife
We see Chris Hemsworth’s wife in the movie, in addition to his children. The sequence in which Thor makes out with a wolf woman in the film’s introduction also features Elsa Pataky, Hemsworth’s real-life wife. Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky made an appearance in a reminiscence, kissing Thor while disguised as a wolf woman. She had previously filled in for Natalie Portman in a love sequence when the Black Swan actress was unable to be present. This is not the first time she has been seen on TV kissing the Avenger.
New Asgard is ruled by Valkyrie
Thor could only watch as Asgard, the place he and so many others called home, burned down as a result of an enormous final battle. Thor announced Valkyrie’s accession to the throne of Asgard at the end of Avengers: Endgame. The evacuation of the Asgardian inhabitants to their new settlement in Tnsberg, Norway, was made possible in large part by Valkyrie. Due to his prior inability to stop Thanos, Valkyrie watched from afar as Thor descended into drinking and laziness over the course of five years.
Valkyrie initially mistook Thor’s remark for humor before realizing his serious intent. The fact that Thor chose to forge his own way through life rather than conform to expectations meant that he was unwilling to take on the role of King of Asgard. Thor was informed by Valkyrie prior to his departure that New Asgard would undergo considerable changes, which would be fascinating to see in Love and Thunder.
RIP LOKI
The absolutely adore relationship between Loki and Thor has lasted almost a decade on the big screen, but the events of Infinity War appear to have put an end to that for the time being. Thanos killed Loki in a valiant last stand. After trying to convince Thanos to help him, Loki made an attempt to stab him in the throat. Unfortunately for the demigod, Thanos saw this coming and stopped it before gripping Loki by the throat.
Thanos crushed Loki’s neck and dumped his lifeless body at Thor’s feet, yet Loki carried on acting in his customary rebellious manner. Even though the relationship was challenging, there was a lot of love present. You can see a tattoo on his back in the scene where Thor and Zeus first meet. The horns and “RIP LOKI” are an obvious memorial to his passing and the horns that his beloved Loki used to wear.
The Terrifying Gorr the God Butcher’s Nails
Few performers, particularly those who play characters in DC or Marvel films, have shifted allegiances seen between the two worlds. But one of them was Christian Bale, who had previously portrayed Batman and now offers Gorr in Thor: Love and Thunder an impressive result. Christian Bale was nearly rendered unconscious by Gorr the God Butcher’s long nails.
Fans were astounded by Christian Bale’s most recent makeover as Gorr the God Butcher, the scary antagonist who is hellbent on destroying all of the gods in the movie. The actor said in an interview how the long nails of the character started to bother him. He stated that it took him 3.5 hours to apply his makeup and get that look.
Zeus and Thor Meet
Some fans are unsure about how to interpret the portrayal of Zeus in the brand-new Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder. Zeus, who is portrayed by renowned actor Russell Crowe, is the head of the gods whom Thor asks for assistance with Gorr, the God Butcher. The Zeus in the movie opposes the heroes and is shown as being considerably more cowardly and sleazy than other fictional Zeuses. After Thor and the crew find themselves in Olympus, Zeus appears in the movie’s trailer. So, tell us in the comments below did you notice him?
“The strongest Avenger” Cap
When Thor is seen working and training, he may be seen donning a headgear that reads, “The strongest Avenger.” This is a funny nugget that many people would have missed, and it fits with the humor that Taika Waititi, the project’s director, and these movies generally display. When examined more closely, it actually reads something more akin to “The strongest of the Avengers,” with “strongest” being obviously added by Thor.
The hat not only inspires Thor to get back in shape, but it also makes fun of Stark’s habit of assuming Hulk to be the strongest Avenger while he was a member of the Avengers, a claim that eventually grew old for Thor. However, these were all the fun facts about Thor: Love and Thunder. Tell us which one is your favorite out of all of them in the comment thread below. Keep streaming!!
