Infinite Mage Chapter 64 opens up with Shirone reaching his limit while fighting against the horde of Wolks. As Shirone starts to gasp for air due to his decreasing stamina, he gets reminded of one sure shot method.
The problem with this method is that Shirone isn’t sure if he would be able to maintain his center of gravity within a rushing torrent.
Recap
The Horde of Wolks doesn’t stand by and rushes towards Shirone. Althor and the others watch the horde rushing towards Shirone, and they get scared.
Althor shouts and tells Shirone to just run away, and everyone else also shouts the same thing. As the horde of wolks gets closer to Shirone, he decides to just unleash his method.
A raging torrent gushes forth with such tremendous velocity that Shirone struggles to get it under control. Shirone uses every bit of strength he has left and eventually succeeds in maintaining his center of gravity.
After getting the torrent under control, Shirone fires it at the horde of Wolks. The immense power generated by torrents instantly wipes out every single work in the area.
Shirone struggles to control the immense power of the torrent, and if he continues to struggle like this, then he will risk getting his consciousness scattered away. Suddenly Shirone remembers how he discharged his energy during the science presentation, and he decides to use that same technique once again.
Luckily, Shirone’s Energy Discharge technique works, and he lets out one last blast from his hand that wipes out almost all of the wolks. The last few remaining works look at Shirone’s silhouette and tremble in fear. As the dust clears out, the wolks finally see the terrifying face of the man who wiped out most of their horde.
Shirone looks into the eyes of the wolks and orders them to go away and never return to this place again. The Wolks get scared and run away, but Shirone also doesn’t last too long. The heavy energy drain finally takes its toll on Shirone, and he falls to the ground. Althor rushes to Shirone’s side and catches him.
Quickly all the other teammates of Shirone also come for Shirone’s aid. Shirone becomes unconscious and so everyone decides to just end the hunting games and carry him to get some rest. Time passes by quickly when everything is at peace. Shirone also recovered quickly as he didn’t sustain any injuries and was just unconscious due to energy drain.
Shirone sits alone in the open grassy plain to gaze upon the stars when Althor decides to give him company. Althor asks Shirone why he’s sitting all alone in the night, and Shirone replies that he slept well, so he decided to do some stargazing. Shirone remembers how he hadn’t gotten such deep sleep without any nightmares in such a long time.
Shirone was unconscious for quite some time which made everyone worried because they thought that he might be dead. Shirone then asks Althor about everyone else and so Althor tells him that they are in the kitchen.
Althor also adds that despite the circumstances, no one was harmed and only Lumina got an injury because she accidentally fell. Shirone feels glad that he was able to help.
Althor then says that he’ll deal with the adults the next day as he’s sure that the leather and teeth from the monsters will help them make money.
Shirone also adds that the fangs of the Wolks are pretty expensive. Suddenly Althor apologizes to Shirone, which leaves Shirone confused as he doesn’t understand why Althor is apologizing to him. Althor tells Shirone that he is envious of him. He then remembers the time when he first saw Shirone with his friends.
Althor’s friends considered Shirone to be someone cool and interesting. Althor kind of hated this, but now he has changed. He looks at Shirone and asks him to achieve the dream that he had for so long. Shirone smiles and agrees with Althor’s request.
