Recap And Review
I’m in Love with the Villainess Episode 9 saw the events continue with Rae and Claire taking on the monster in front of them. Since the monster is really powerful and with the ability to control natural elements, the pair had to be very careful fighting against it.
Thus, Rae comes up with a plan that will take down the monster in a single attack which requires Claire to charge up her spell and attack the monster on its head. But since it is only a short chance Rae and Claire will have to work together and thus, the former acts as bait until the latter has powered up her spell.
This shot is eventually shot with a success in taking down the monster but the man in black goes after Rae to stab her with his knife which is covered in poison. However, Thane intervenes and stops the Man in Black’s attack which results him in being covered with poison.
As the Man in Black runs away, Rae takes care of Thane’s poison which starts to overtake his whole body. As this incident comes to an end, everyone ends up celebrating it with King also wanting to reward Rae and Claire. Meanwhile, the Aressua siblings have been taken into custody and have been given the death penalty for the latest incident.
Rae and Cliare ask for their wish to spare the siblings which the King agrees but the siblings are exiled from the kingdom. As Claire breaks down seeing Lene go away from the kingdom, Rae hugs her from behind saying that she could cry all she wanted as she won’t see her face.
