She brought the Prince back to the castle after saving him, but the Prince had already been infected by the plague. The doctors told the Emperor that the Prince’s condition was very bad and that surviving the winter might as well be impossible. Soon enough. Enosh finally dies after succumbing to the plague, and the truth about the Prince’s guard infecting him comes out.

The Emperor is driven mad by his grief, and he orders his soldiers to go and kill everyone in the guard’s family and village.
