What is the plot of I Won’t Accept Your Regrets?
The novel revolves around a woman named Elijah Croft. She is an empress whom everyone knows about. There is nothing that does not or cannot come into her possession, but she still prays to have a kind and loving husband. Her current husband, the Emperor, is always cold toward her.
Though she is already aware and accustomed to such an attitude of his, she grows anxious soon. This is so because the former lover of the Emperor appears before them. Elijah is no longer sure she can have the Emperor next to her for life. She can no longer handle this, and she asks the Emperor for a divorce.
While rethinking all that has been going on, she concludes it won’t be a cakewalk for her to be able to escape all the turmoils in her life may it be her political life or her social life. She starts thinking about her future life and whether or not she will be tied to the Emperor’s life or if her destiny is something different from what she hoped for. Only time would tell her.
I Won’t Accept Your Regrets Chapter 74, Recap
In the previous chapter, Celine is welcomed to the place of Duke of Croft. She is given hospitable treatment as she is an important guest who has traveled quite a distance. She is then greeted by Lady Croft, who has prepared several sweet treats for them to have during their conversation.
Lady Croft tries to make things comfortable for Celine and states her wish to have a younger sister just like her. Celine then says that reason for her sudden visit to Lady Croft’s residence is that she has made up her mind about the perfume business they were previously talking about, and she wanted to let her know what she thought about it.
Celine says that if the Lady is still okay with her coming so late, she would like to join the perfume-making business. Lady Croft is happy with her answer and then, and Celine is then presented with a contract that gives most of the proceeds to Celine. She is astonished and questions the same thing to the Lady, who shows her how important and talented she is, and that she is only being given what she is worth.
Hearing this, Celine is left with happy tears in her eyes. Before Celine leaves to attend to her sick mother back home, the Lady provides her with a fancy party dress so that she can wear it to the party she has been invited to. Celine happily accepts it and promises to wear it to the party to show the Lady how beautiful she looks in it. The scene cuts to the Duke questioning what he should do with the current obstacles and how he could keep the Lady safe from harm.
