The I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day anime has revealed a new special visual as the series reaches its eighth episode. The latest artwork arrives during the ongoing Summer 2026 broadcast and gives fans another look at the characters at the center of the dark fantasy yuri story.
The anime adaptation of Nachi Aono’s manga premiered in Japan on July 7, 2026, and is currently streaming internationally through Crunchyroll. The series is being produced by ROLL2, with Yasushi Tomoda serving as director.
New Visual Arrives as Episode 8 Debuts
The special visual comes as Episode 8, titled “I’m Back,” begins its broadcast on August 25. The episode follows “Not Afraid Anymore,” which aired on August 18 and focused on Lizzy Seiran volunteering for actual combat after her earlier experiences at the academy.
The timing of the new artwork is particularly notable because the series has increasingly placed its characters in situations where affection and friendship exist alongside the reality of war. Rather than presenting the story as a straightforward romance, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day continues to connect its relationships with the dangers surrounding the girls.

The anime’s musical lineup also reinforces its themes of love, loss, and uncertainty. ReoNa performs the opening theme “Amore,” while sajou no hana performs the ending theme “Éternel.” Both songs were introduced alongside the second promotional video and key visual ahead of the July premiere.
ReoNa previously explained through the anime’s official website that she had first encountered Aono’s manga several years earlier and connected with its ideas about cherishing something despite knowing that an eventual ending cannot be avoided.
