Edith and Killian have gotten a lot closer now that the second stage of exceptional settings has taken effect. Even though most fans enjoyed this change, things aren’t so enjoyable for the other characters in the manhwa as Cliff seemed a little too agitated in the last chapter. With I Thought It Was Common Possession Chapter 38 releasing soon, we can hope to see Cliff state his reasons for acting this way.
I Thought It Was Common Possession Chapter 37 opens up with the continuation of the conversation between Lize and Killian. Lize reacts to the information mentioned earlier and says that Edith would never do anything bad.
Killian tries to tell Lize that Edith is a disgusting woman who can do anything, but he suddenly hears a strange voice from behind him. Killian stops and turns around to find the source of the sound, but he doesn’t see anything, not even Lize reacts to the noise.
I Thought It Was Common Possession Chapter 37: Recap
Killian agrees with Lize by saying that Edith wouldn’t have committed a crime. Even though Killian agrees with Lize, his way of thinking is a bit different. Despite thinking that Edith is innocent, Killian thinks that Edith just doesn’t have a reason to go after Lize because even if she were ordered by Count Regelhof, she would have tried to eliminate other important members of the Rudwick family.
Killian thinks that jealousy may have been a reason for Edith’s actions, but Edith isn’t someone who gets jealous that easily. Killian tells Lize that the maid must have been ordered by someone, and if that’s the case, then the culprit must be someone close to the Duchy.
Lize says that she doesn’t want things to get bigger, but Killian reassures her that everything will be fine. He then gives his coat to Lize to warm her in the cold weather. Killian then leaves after telling Lize to talk to him privately whenever she finds Cliff trying to handle things regarding Edith.
Lize thinks for a while, and then she suddenly tries to stop Killian from going. Killian stops and turns around to hear what Lize has to say, but she doesn’t say anything. Three days pass by, and Killian starts to spend more time with Edith. He eats all his meals with Edith and even puts his work aside when he’s with her. Edith gets a little uncomfortable after seeing this sudden change in Killian’s behavior.
Edith directly asks Killian to state his reasons for being this good to her out of the blue. Killian replies that he has realized that he made a lot of mistakes recently, and so he would like to get to know Edith more from now onwards. Edith fails to grasp the situation as the person who felt disgusted just by the thought of touching her now wants to know more about her.
Killian says that after seeing all the evidence available, he is sure that Edith is not the culprit. Edith thanks Killian for his kind words, but Killian doesn’t consider this something she should be thankful for. He then proposes that Edith should spend more time with him from now on so that he can get to know her even more. Edith realizes that this novel is a harem genre in which all male leads are possessive.
After that day, Edith and Killian start spending more time together, and slowly, Edith starts to open up to him as she feels a lot more comfortable. They visit the art gallery and take strolls around the mansion quite frequently. Killian worries about Edith catching a cold, but she says that she would just hide it if it happened to her. Killian requests her never to hide anything from him.
Cliff and Lize pay a visit to Killian, and so Killian and Edith sit down to have some tea together. Lize comments on Killian and Edith by saying that they look like a proper married couple now and Killian agrees with her. Edith wonders if Killian is trying to make Lize jealous, and so she also joins in on the fun. Cliff gets a little agitated, and so he stops Killian and Edith by telling them to listen to Lize.
